Why would he take a job? I'm sure he could have been on TV somewhere if he wanted to. Think he is happy just counting his money.

He can recruit like hell but unless he fully gives up the reigns on offense he's never going to win anything of note again.

That's actually not true. RC got flat out fricked by penny pinching on facilities and assistant pay. Fran initially got the boosters to up their assistant pay but he was such an arrogant arse shite burned all the bridges down by the end. Sherman got them to realize the facilities needed major improvements. Sumlin and Jimbo are the first and only two to really have access to over the top unlimited spending and both of them failed mainly b/c of their own actions.

Jimbo could probably recruit well enough to make the hillbillies respectable again, or at least respectable enough to win the Big 12 a couple times before he retires for good. I think it would be a good move for WVU and they wouldn't have to overpay since he's still got that fat aggy pension.

He'll coach WVU for $500k/yr. A&M's got him covered.
That's NIL fungibility for WVU

Elko is as “strait-laced” as they come.
No real issues.

Not sure who they are talking to but I live in Morgantown and I’ve only heard one fan speak of Jimbo. It was my wife and pure sarcasm.
