He was never asked to single-handedly win us games in 2018 either. Nuss (and Daniels) was every weekend. Burrow had multiple objectively bad games in 2018

Being asked to play the QB position at a decent level is not being asked to single handedly win games.

Nuss has the most important job on the field, there will always be an extent of putting the team on his back.

To the person who said Burrow got shut out. Burrow was not the sole reason we got shut out. Nuss was the sole reason we lost 2 games this year. Arguably 3. And it could’ve been 5 save for some last minute heroics (that would’ve been unnecessary had we had a QB that didn’t suck), and the most fortunate officiating I’ve ever seen as well as an injury to a QB1 against USCe.

Needs to learn to keep drives going with his feet if necessary. Burrow was and still is really good at it.

This is the thing. Nuss plays like someone who can’t run — he can. He’s not TJ Finley who couldn’t beat anyone in a foot race. I’m not sure what Nuss’s 40 time is but he looks every bit as fast as Burrow, maybe faster.

The difference is, Burrow was about as good as it gets at seeing openings immediately and making teams pay. You had to close up everything or he would kill you.

On the other hand it’s hard for anyone to beat Jayden as a runner, let alone Burrow (who I think runs a 4.9), but Burrow in certain situations was just as effective. He’d never break a huge run, but I’d take either one when we need a few yards on 3rd down. No LSU QB comes close to how smart he was with the run.

Wide receivers are a dime a dozen. Hilarious to see you spending all the money on a position that won't even help that much.

Hmm. WRU ?

Somebody should get the memo to the SEC coaches because they didn’t include a single one on the 3 deep All SEC teams

True unless we find some good safeties we are middle of the road on defense.

LOL name a college that has a better QB duo in the NFL than Burrow and Daniels.

For as obsessed as Gumps have always been with Derek Stingley Jr, it has to feel good knowing he's the best CB in the NFL.

You tried though.

no 5 and 9 wr transfers coming to us plus we got some returning people. With nuss coming back with a year of experience under his belt we have a shot next year

That's great, dude. I'm glad you care about this.

Good for them I guess. Mind telling me the emotion I should shoot for here?

My care meter is way down, so I do need some help from you. Am I supposed to be mad, sad, disheartened, happy, excited, worried, angry?

Man what a roller coaster of emotion!!!!

Ya'll should spend money on WRs, my bad it wouldn't matter your RB/QB couldn't hit the side of a barn.
