If they have a deal already for Vitello why haven’t they fired Pierce yet?

I just don’t get why they won’t fire him first regardless of who they hire.

I’m a member of the Texas VIP 247 and most of the moderators have not mentioned Vitello

Texas will swing and miss on Schloss, and then one of two things will happen: they will land an upper level ACC coach, or they'll hire someone extremely underwhelming but with "lots of promise."

CDC doesn't get rid of coaches until he has someone signed and delivered.. As an example, he got rid of Herman on the same day that Sark was announced..

Perhaps this cuts down on leaks and speculation? Perhaps this cuts down on everyone and their mother asking their AD for a raise because Texas offered.. even when they didn't offer..

Perhaps there is a different reason? All I know is that this is what CDC does.. he moves in the dark and no one knows until it is announced..

This particular poster has some interesting other posts though.. Most of it is fluff.. but some of it maybe isn't.. That info combined with some other info I read on another board.. allows me to draw some conclusions.. nothing earth shattering.. but some of the details add an interesting piece to the puzzle..

But then I wonder.. what is the motive?

Do these bread crumbs make a meatball sub
or do they fall apart after they are toasted?
One plus one might equal two by two..
or maybe it doesn't in the zoo..

I'm a ramblin' man..
I've seen enough to understand..
What goes up must come down
Unless it doesn't and then you drown

Nobody from Texas expects them to get Schloss, but your AD isn’t doing their job right if they don’t at least call, especially if they are good friends.

If im an A&M fan and Texas was in the WS and Trev Alberts worked with him before, I’d be disappointed if he didn’t call to at least get the temperature.

Sports talk in Knoxville just announced that Tony Vitello has signed a new contract. Official announcement after the CWS. I guess OP’s uncle’s cousin was wrong.

That just can't be...because "BY GOD, WE'RE TEXAS!"

Vitello should go to a real baseball school like State.

Better than you in baseball.
Better than you in baseketball.
Soon to be better than you in football.
The main reason you guys are not speaking Spanish.
Yeah, you don’t seem big and bad to me, unless you mean your fanbase’s mouth.

Given all that, you got nothing to worry about, so not sure why Tennessee fans have been obsessing over us lately.

Texas does not lose money on baseball. A small profit margin, but a profit nevertheless.

We can outbid A&M any time we chose to do so.
