FSU is the second winningest program in NCAA baseball (division I) in terms of winning percentage and has over 200 more program wins than does SC. LINK

And, how did SC fare the last time they were in the CWS finals?

Are you seriously trying to troll me when my team won two consecutive titles, and failed in their attempt at a three-peat? Are you fricking serious? Would they trade those 200+ victories for a couple of trophies that they don't have?

Royal, I get your point, but FSU does have an elite baseball program even though they don't have a title to show for it. They have been to Omaha probably more than anyone. They just choke

That's all I said in the first place. If we're using titles to define elite status, then FSU doesn't qualify. They get to Omaha a lot, but they shite the bed. That's all I said to begin with.

As for the original question, I don't care if FSU is in the SEC or not. They fit in some ways, but not in others. I think they kinda like being the lone wolf in their own playground.

No, why would you want to introduce more traditional powerhouses or resourceful programs into the conference? The conference is competitive enough and doesn't need anymore parity, or the SEC Champion will be all but assured 1 or 2 losses annually. There isn't a conference anywhere near as strong as our right now. Why would we make it tougher for the SEC teams to make it to the national championship and other good bowl games?

I agree with all of this. For some reason I'm seemingly in the minority though, everyone else wants their schedule to consist of the top 12 teams in the country every season because it "strengthens the league" and makes for "more entertaining" games.

Nonsense.

I'd kill somebody if I had to listen to that chant on a regular basis.

Yeah, having more marquee matchups OOC or in-conference might produce more revenue, but revenue will be lost late in the season and during bowl season when your team is incredibly beat up and relegated to a mid-tier bowl game.

No, we already have the Florida market. NC and VA will be the next expansion states for the SEC.

Bobby Bowden kept them out admitting they did not want to have to run that schedule gauntlet.

But I think there will be 2 more added before all is said and done, now who should they be?

Yeah. Why should I give a frick about revenue and media markets? I like football, and FSU is a big time program. I understand some conference exec or tv magnate being against it, but I don't see how any fan could say no

We've played big name OOC teams almost every year Richt has been here. The years we won them (02, 03, 05, 06, 07, 08) those wins didn't help us at the end of the season. The years we lost (09, 10, 11, 13) they certainly did because it's another loss.

I don't understand why some of yall (well, mainly you) equate using logic and reason in an argument to being "scared". It has nothing to do with being scared, it has everything to do with wanting to put my team in the best possible position to make the final 4. Ultimately, that's the only bottom line any fan should care about.

I want us to beat the best teams. If we're not the best, so be it. I don't want an easy way out.

But that's just me.

Exactly. None of our last four additions get me excited.
