He needs to retire now so we don't push him over the cliff like we did to the bear, 21-10...

Always amusing how LSU fans try to claim credit for Bryant's declining health.

Stay classy guys.

I hope he stays long enough for all the "institutional control" truths to be brought to light, (like all the trailer parks in Tuscalosa tithing 50% to the "church of a school I can't spell")
so all the mutated inbreds can blame him for the multiple title strippage and Mandingo his statue to death.

There are times I think to myself, "Is Alabama football really worth the attention that I give it?" Compared to when I was a much younger man, a lot of the excitement that I used to feel is gone. I don't get nervous about games or seasons anymore the way I did when I was younger. Even the joy of winning another national championship has dimmed given how many of them we have won. Sometimes I wonder, what is it that I really get out of my fandom? Is all of this really worth it?

...but then I read a post like this, AND I'M RIGHT BACK IN, BABY!

NIL will change the game - and coaching. I think that may be the thing Saban walks away from.

The day will come when this marvelous run is over. Will I be sorry to see it end? Yes. But here's the bad news, for those who live to rain on other people's parades: Nothing will change the fact that this has been the best run that college football ever has seen, or ever will see.

All these fans of all these other teams....

Never in your lifetime will your team have a run half as good as what Saban just did at Alabama. That makes me smile.

You are being silly. He will leave

He will never leave, he’ll have to be dragged off. What will that guy do with himself without football??

The questions is how long will Bama allow him to hang on after he’s too old to do it anymore? We’ll probably find out in the next few seasons.

The thing is I wouldn’t trade for that if it meant I had to live in Alabama
