Just scrolling through Twitter today

Finebaum's Twitter

quote:

A Kansas fan just asked if Nick Saban would consider taking the Kansas job so he could have the challenge of turning around the worst FBS program in #CFB. Rock Chalk!

He wouldn't win a natty but he'd get them a Big 12 champ eventually

Saban is a great coach but he is the GOAT because he is at Alabama. He was a really good coach before that got great after he got here.

Yes he would. Mark Mangino has them ranked in the top 10 not that long ago. It can be done.

He’d have to upgrade from Chargers to BMWs but it’s possible

It’d take about 30 years from our current place at the bottom of an abyss

He made it work for LSU, so it's possible.

If the fat arse can get them to a 12-1 record than Saban probably could too.

They were the best team in the country in 2007 but got screwed out of a chance at the title with fat boy. Yea, He could. It would take 5-7 years but it's been proven it could be done.

it pains me to say this, even with the 2 losses to OU, but Missouri was the best in 2007.

Is he allowed to cheat like he does at Bama?

Saban could take Glinda, Uncle Henry, Auntie Em, and Toto... run the wishbone and still wreck shite in the Big12 !

Not a consistent one, at least for a decade or so. The resources aren't there. Not for football. Would be hard to attract top end talent on a large scale.
For all that's forgotten with Saban and his obvious greatness, he's had pretty big time talent at both championship stops. He develops it and trusts his process and that's why he's the best. Hard to get that type of talent to Lawrence KS.
Before anyone brings up Snyder and KSU as an example. Completely different processes though both are effective. Snyder does a lot of things differently, and better, than Saban with a different style of kid and different attitudes. That excel due to the system and that chip on the shoulder attitude. Saban does it with the process, elite talent and talent that is extremely confident in their attitudes. Again both work but only one has 6-10 titles.

We are all just glad that he was heroically pure and pristine at LSU. A program which is a true inspiration for all of college football.
