Ole Miss needs to hire Mike Leach.

They can't offer it to him. They've extended Nutt's contract so that has to play out first.

A little of the shine is wearing off of Malzahn's star.

How so? It's not his fault they have no defense.

He's had some pretty shitastic calls this year, as well as personnel choices

In 4 games we'll see what the next perception of Gus is, then again at the end of the season. That's about when you can pass the "offering". I notice the knowledgeable Auburn people - most of the ones with the guts enough to remain here - a lot of them - have already begun to question some of his tactics. I actually find that surprising, but to their credit because I think they are correct: some of his philosophy he used last season may not work with this this bunch. In fact, it could hurt the team overall (offense & defense). We'll see what he does - if he can play with the hand he's been dealt and adjust accordingly, or if he is horse-blind and can't. This is a good bookmark type thread to look back on just to see where he was thought of in the past because we could be about to witness a major change for the good - or bad. We'll see how it plays out.

He probably would take the Ole Miss job and coach about 2 years until the Auburn job is available. Hope when he takes the Auburn job he brings in Tubs for his defensive coordinator

Not sure the ole miss job is better than the Vandy job he turned down. Probable wait for a better offer.

I hope you aren't this stupid.

Some Auburn fans have the mindset that Gus will never leave Auburn.

What makes Kirby Smart HC material again... other than being Saban's biotch?

Pass - give me an offensive HC.

So says someone who most likely thought HDN was a great pickup.

I though Nutt was merely a solid pickup at the time FWIW. The game has obviously passed him by.

Smart - what's his appeal again in regards to being a HC? It's so hard to bring 5-stars to UA and coach defense alongside Sabear, after all.

I'm serious - someone enlighten me on Smart potentially being a HC.
