Not really. LSU just wasn't open. Miles was the coach. Had LSU had an opening he likely would have come back to Baton Rouge.

It was widely known that Saban contacted LSU, but there was no way they were firing Les.

They should have.

He absolutely tried to come back to LSU after the Dolphins, I mean that is fact. We had just won with Les and they didn't want to fire Les like that after Saban had left. Live in your fantasy land. It ended up being a mistake for LSU, so idk why gumps get so mad about that.

Hell yes they were clamoring for it on CCB

He was even listed as a possible hire for them, as if that would ever be an option.

You just lucky Saban went to the nfl or you’d never had him to begin with. You know it.

Y'all are just mad that Saban has been on record numerous times as saying LSU is the best job in the SEC. I mean you have the titles to boast about, idk why you want to rewrite history. Some of you gumps would make great journalists or elementary school textbook writers.

Bertman told Sexton no, so the answer was no.

You posted that already Curlyfri. You were never much of a good troll, but lately you've reached a low point many here didn't think that you were even capable of.

Not sure what you're wanting to hear. If he wanted to go back to LSU y'all would have fired literally any coach you've hired since his tenure in order to get him back. Him returning to LSU clearly isn't on the table.

My dyslexia kicked in with your title. I thought you had actually written Orgeron wants Kelly back. LOL

I don't want to hear anything, I am just stating the fact that he went back to LSU about returning to his job there and was turned down. I admit it was a terrible move, but to say it didn't happen is ridiculous.

Saban won a title at LSU. Chip Kelly didn't win a title at Oregon, and sufficiently soiled his brand in the NFL and college prior to the Oregon job coming open again. UCLA fans want him gone now, it's not anywhere close to an apples-apples comparison.

Then prove it. Lets see a source. Should be easy, right?

One of many

“And I know a lot of LSU fans think I left for whatever reasons, but I left because I wanted to be a pro coach, or thought I wanted to be a pro coach. We loved LSU. We worked hard to build the program. If there was one thing professionally that I would do over again, it would’ve been not to leave LSU.”
