Les won a national title. The answer is yes. When they fired him they didn't know they would be stuck with O.

So you’d rather be led by O this year than Miles and find a better option after the year?

Someone tell me how O is a better option than Miles this year

Yes. I'd rather watch whatever O puts out there than the bullshite Big 10 offense Miles ran out there consistently after being mind fricked on 1/9.

So you’re cool with the offense being run by Les’s TE coach?

I love how LSU fans are posting in this thread with "no", but every other fan from another school has replied to the thread that LSU fans would like to have Les for this season. I think opposing fans would rather LSU have Les Miles for this season. From that I'm going top imply that opposing fans are scared of Coach O!

Didn't do to bad when thrown into the role in the middle of the year.

hell no. there's not a fricking D1 program in the nation that wants Miles. Why in the hell would LSU want him back?

Is LSU's standard "well he didn't do too bad"?

I would think not.

well after having Les Miles as the coach for 10 years. Who likes to run the ball. The TE coach went on to run an offense that broke the LSU single game rushing record 3 times. the "he didn't do to bad" was a bit in jest because of what he did compared to our previous $1million/yr coordinator.

Hell no, and I enjoyed many years when he was our coach.

Did you read that anywhere in my post? This is an either or question, not are you cool with Orgeron's hires.

I question the sanity of any LSU fan that wants a man that can't speak English over Les Miles.

You must have never listened to a Les Miles press conference.

Ed O may have an accent but at least he speaks in coherent thoughts.

Nah. Taking Miles is basically conceding at least 2, maybe 3 games. I'm in no way implying that O will do any better than that, but I'll take a shot with the unknown.

At least it'll be more interesting...

Larry Coker won a national title at Miami. What's your point?

Only if he’d hire a competent OC and stay the frick out of his way.

Everyone that follows LSU football ( no not the uninformed sec fans of other teams) knows that he is incapable of doing that , and that’s why he was fired in the first place.

They should have never let Les Miles go. Their winningest coach!

I'll never forget the "last game" against Texas A&M. The whole game everyone, including Shaq, is saying goodbye to Les Miles. Then, LSU was so happy to beat Texas A&M, they renewed Miles to stay on. The most bizarre coaching freak show I've ever seen. Then, they fire him mid-season the following year. Have all year to find a replacement, with guys like Tom Herman and Jimbo Fischer available. Then, give it to their d-line coach. Awesome.

Dude firing Miles was the right decision.

But our AD fricked it up. Then our AD fricked up the search process. Then our AD fricked up the hire.

Instead of promoting our best coach on staff, we promote the fricking D-Line coach and almost lose our best coach in the process.

I really hate Alleva.

Joe Alleva is the worst AD in the country.

The hiring of Ed Orgeron could become the worst hire in college football history at a major college football program. Literally anyone else would have been a better hire.
