Dude I’m not shitting on Tennessee I think it’s a beautiful state lol. Yeah, central Oklahoma is a wasteland, but people live in less desirable places given the right opportunity.

Remember when you were telling me about our DLine? How did that work for ya? That’s what I thought. No one wants to live in bumfrick, shithole Oklahoma.
But hey, you can fly into Dallas, Texas!

Tell us more about how recruiting works in a state we've been recruiting for 60 years, Bri. You're so knowledgeable.

Easy way to figure it out. Do you sleep well at night believing he stays at Tennessee if the job opens up?
First off, Bob Stoops would have to kiss the ring and be forced to beg on his knees in front of Josh for forgiveness and given assurances that Bob Stoops would no longer be the king maker on campus before you could even entertain this theoretical seriously.
But let's say he did go. So what? Cubbard would be stacked and the culture in place. We'd just go get a younger and more energetic version of JH in Alex Golesh. Talk about the perfect plug in plan B. Would be nothing like what we are seeing at Alabama now going from Saban to Deboer

No one here is talking bout crootin, but congrats on your maiden voyage 5-7 season

No, I would not be worried to answer your question. We are a better job for him presently. And our current head coach in waiting should an emergency arise could not be more crystal clear and uniquely perfect for the situation.

Dallas isn't "owned by our arch-rival", Bri.

1. Bob stoops is a treasure but he’s not relevant. A good leading indicator is BV being hired, which ended on a similar, bad note. No hiccups in that.
2. So what? You’d be torn up if that happened. I don’t want it to happen, I want venables to work out. Brother I’ve experienced the last three years what happens when the guy you thought was the guy leaves and raids the cupboard. It sucks.

Your d line played a d2 o line. Get over it dude lol.

Y'all have not experienced a wet fart in this conference yet. Was always inevitable that at least one of OU or TX would be relegated to a new program reality on a perrenial basis generally. If you guys even end up playing for a singular SEC championship game in ATL over the next decade it'll have been a DAMN FINE decade for you guys.
Nothing is as zero sum as SEC football. Nothing. As you guys are learning quickly.
Posted on 10/21/24 at 9:43 pm to psk_Vol
You have zero idea who OU is lol. Won more than you fivefold and once the offense is figured out you’ll forever be an afterthought.
Notice Alabama and Georgia folks don’t drool over the sec? Because they own it. You and the rest of the second act programs can’t hop off the SECs jock because being associated with greatness is enough for you.
It’s not for OU. And as much as I hate them, Texas people don’t care about your conference either. They just want to win.
Enjoy the 9 win season and second round knock out. Great outcome for you every ten years.

Your d line fisted us in front of both our parents and the entire United States of America. Was gracious how they at least allowed us to stack up 35 yards of total rushing thru 4 quarters of football. Tryna over it dude lol.

lol please research Osborne’s Nebraska teams, Switzers OU teams, Colorado in the 1990s, Kansas state in the 1990s/2000s. That’s 10 national titles in 25 years buddy. Is that good?
quote:
I gave you a set of facts.
Yeah, no. National championships of the teams you mentioned:
Nebraska = 94, 95, (97)
OU = 74, 75, 85, 00
Colorado = (90)
K State = nada
I count 8 in 25 years, with two that were not unanimous. "Facts"

Is that good?
Sure, but it's not "running shite" as you claimed. SEC is currently on a 16/25 run.

Stoops kind of publicly put it out there that Huepal was the problem. Huepal was a golden boy at OU so Stoops needed to tear him down first before firing him. That's what made it so personal. Heupals image was so bad after OU that he ended up at Utah State.
Heupel's image was so tarnished he wound up as OC and QB coach at Mizzou in 2016/2017

Dude, you guys have a great tradition and history. Happy?
Us merely conveying to you that your precious illustrious history from the past lives of your program can't help you anymore. Go consult with Nebraska on how prior accomplishments and traditional expectations can save the day. This should be common sense to grasp really.
Warning though: You fire BV then botch the next hire and fast forward a generation from now and you guys easily might still find yourselves stacking 1-3/0-4 SEC starts to your seasons year after year.
This league is a cold, unforgiving BITCH

2016/2017 Mizzou was a complete dumpster fire coming off BLM scandals and a bunch of vacated wins.

Like I said, I get how it can be for lesser programs. And it’ll suck for you when we surpass you next year when we put a serviceable offense on the field.
Why would we fire venables? He’s created a top 10 defense in the country. That’s a great outcome. Being a first time head coach, he’s leaned in way too much into his comfort zone, defense, and has neglected the offense. I think firing an oc mid year woke him up to that fact and that won’t be a problem anymore.
Nebraska fell off because 1) there’s no recruiting hot bed within 10 hours driving, 2) their coach of 25+ years retired and they had no backup plan, and 3) they don’t have a ton of money.
Got great news for you: 1) OU recruits Texas, which is an hours drive south, 2) they have their coach, and 3) there’s a lot of money. The Nebraska comparison is tired and unoriginal. You got to come up with original thoughts that you don’t copy from talking heads on ESPN.

Zero sum. Learn the concept. Embrace it. This is your reality now.
No doubt though OU is gonna start piping off 10-2(ugh 10-2 so crappy for a program like mighty OU lol)/11-1/12-0 regular season almost every season like you guys did in the years when the entire sport either ran an option or I formation offense using roided up white guys. Or like in the good ole days when you guys played defenseless Big 12 schedules for decades. No doubt about it!
If you guys only had an offense that could cross the 50 more than once a game you'd be in the natty hunt still
