Just a big group of LSU fans getting in your face and chanting tigerbait. Just be a good sport and they will most likely take you into their tailgate and offer you food and drinks. It's not that bad but some people take it personally.

Any game involving Miami. They seem to have the largest % of thuggish fans.
Florida Miami Sugar Bowl
Wisconsin Miami whatever Orlando Bowl 2010
LSU Miami in Dallas.

I know you probably meant SEC venues, but I will stand on the mountain and scream how bad Miami fans are.

I’ve never had a bad experience with SEC team fans anywhere.

Worst was South Carolina in 2003. Some drunk baw and his drunk bawette GF tried to start a fight with me in the parking lot when I parked.

I had my wife and 3 young kids with me

That is great. How many kids from SC get shut out of those opportunities because of kids like you? especially if their a limited seats for those professional schools. Remember it a state funded University and the should have alliance to its citizens. NC school are shutting the door on SC students, they seem to know their priorities.

P.S Do you contribute to SC General Fund. Pay any taxes in SC? Did you family pay taxes in SC for generations?

Have experienced the infamous unnecessary hostility of UGA vs AU people, but nobody spit at me or anything. It wasn't that bad, just pretty lame from a school not otherwise known for trashy behavior. It's all been discussed on here ad nauseum.

Like a ton of people I've gotten yelled at swampy looking LSU people only to be invited to drink and eat with them afterwards.

A&M is probably my worst away game experience because it was so boring. But that was before they spent like a trillion dollars fixing up Kyle (which was a complete dump). People were nice, just...boring.

I have no clue. But I feel like it's got to be a positive that we are making a name for ourselves on quite the large stage. No?

It's not like SC students are the minority. the school is between 65-70% from SC

I know.
I never understood why we didn't have that law either.
Guess we can't get 75% in state anyway?

No, I don't, family did (like older generations, now they're all up around charlotte, the living ones)

I just donate to the Gamecock club and the Moore School.

Have taken 9 road trips since we joined the SEC, and they have all been good to great:

Fayetteville
Oxford
Tuscaloosa
Gainesville
Nashville
Knoxville
College Station
Baton Rouge
Lexington

Plan to make trips to Athens and Auburn (2022), possibly Starkville.

Most tailgates are cool. You learn to party with the older folks (I'm in my 50s) and ignore the young idiots, frat boys, and sidewalkers. Trust me, you guys don't know a bad road trip until you've been in Lawrence, Kansas in 20-degree heat surrounded by a bunch of blue chickens.

So glad to be in the SEC.

Odd ritual, but I can see where this could work out very nicely.

Enjoyed them all. If you’re not a complete dick opposing fans will appreciate you and invite you into their tailgates.

That said, Ohio State has the most trash arse fan base.

A kid from SC getting beaten out by a kid from NC who might have marginally better GPA is fair ? For the sake of money ?
How about those who later apply for select post graduate schools in the state. Is it fair that a fellow USC student is pushed out of a Professional school (Law, Med, Vet) by another USC grad who spent his entire life in NC ? The kid now has to pursue lesser opportunities because of the open door policy of the school in pursuit of money.

Why is it better to have growth ? How many students does ND or Duke have ?

And that money will more than likely be used to attract OOS with high grads to boost the overall numbers for the school on some list. Again the state citizens get screwed. If you contribute that money to primary and secondary education in SC, then I lose my argument. Because the counter every time this subject is brought up is that the states do not produce qualified students.

State schools should be 90-95% in-state students.

I agree, but can live with the 18% that those states have capped. It is the pursuit of great growth that is causing the problems.

I've been to the Swamp, Aggie, State, Ole Miss and Bama. None were horrible, but College Station was the worst. This was before the made the stadium upgrades so I'm sure it's much better but it sucked before hand. And the bar scene was horrible. Restaurants sucked. Just the whole place was somewhere I never wanted to visit again.

If the student is better who cares? I always thought if both kids are equal they took the in state kid. Thats certainly how it is at UNC

I actually don't know what you mean here, and ND or Duke are Private.

Fair.
Im OOS so couldn't care less. I just want my school to have a strong name for itself in my industry. Which it's never had but it's growing.
