Yes. Since his career record is over .500, he must be worse than Croom and Orgeron, etc.
Go Rantards!

Anyone heard of Jack Crowe?

I cut it off @ 1985 for most of them, and in 1992 for USC & Arkansas. Also, each coach spent at least 3 years at the school:
1. Watson Brown, Vandy: 10-45 (.181)
2. Woody Widenhofer, Vandy: 15-40 (.272)
3. Ed Orgeron, Ole Miss: 10-25 (.285)
4. Bobby Johnson, Vandy: 29-66 (.305)
5. Bill Curry, UK: 26-52 (.333)
I was expecting the top 5 to be loaded with Vandy coaches. Curry was pretty bad, but Orgeron was flat out pathetic: 3 SEC wins in 3 years, 3 straight against Memphis with an avg. margin of victory at 3 points per game, 2 wins against Northwestern State, 1 against LA Tech, and the 10th win against The Citadel.
Johnson is a decent coach, he just can't do much at Vanderbilt, although they shouldn't be 2-10 either like they were this year.
Here's #6-10
6. Sly Croom, Miss State: 21-38 (.355)
7. Curley Hallman, LSU: 16-28 (.363)
8. Rocky Felker, Miss State: 21-34 (.381)
9. Brad Scott, USC: 23-32 (.419)
10. Gerry Dinardo, Vandy: 19-25 (.431)
Can someone explain why LSU hired Dinardo at the time, b/c I was only like 6 when he was hired. Croom was actually worse than I thought he was, though not by much.
Finally, 11-15
11. Hal Mumme, UK: 20-26 (.434)
12. Rich Brooks, UK: 39-46 (.458)
13. Danny Ford, Arky: 26-30 (.464)
14. Lou Holtz, USC: 33-37 (.471)
15. Sparky Woods, USC: 25-27 (.481)
Rod Dowhower of Vanderbilt went 4-18 (.181), but only coached 2 years. Also, Jack Crow of Arkansas went 9-15 (.375), though he only coached one game in Arky's innagural SEC season.

For the last 25 years, I have to put Zook on the list. He was handed the keys to a gold mine and pretty much did the bare minimum with UF talent.
