So he gets housing money but pockets it and lives with longtime GF...and that is what he is paying back?

That's the word. Same situation USC had a few years ago when Lienart's dad was paying the rent for both his kid and Dwayne Jarrett.

Not sure if you had your question answered, but his GF is a member of the AD, and they had been splitting costs of an apartment. Athletes are forbidden to receive any benefits from those associated with the School or AD. If his GF was not with the AD, then this would be a non issue. so of the housing she paid, Shepard must pay back.
Another thing is that Rossetta originally reported that it dates back to his arrival. That was incorrect. It dates back to this spring. So a few months rent at Northgate. I have paperwork in front of me now

Yeah, it's legit. She been having that minimum wage job for a few years now. The nut jobs on the rant were acting like we were paying her $100K a year as a front or something.

What if they were married? Would they still be responsible for a 50/50 split of the rent? I know it's a bit off topic, but there seem to be a number of loopholes.

Marriage laws completely change that.There is no split with a unified pair.
