I don't think so... I didn't post for a half year and I hardly know anyone on here anymore. Maybe we should ask to have GP unbanned so she can tally the votes again.

From what I have gleaned from the Help Board threads, and having seen them evolve over the last 2 years, I can say that when the board was a little smaller and Tuck did them, it was all inclusive. Now that the board is bigger, there are different factions, and it only caters to a certain group of us. It was also before we really had IM threads, so it was sort of like a time for everyone to have a break from the sportsy part of the board. Sort of like the office Christmas Party. Everyone gathered for the awards show, and it was really, really fun. Last year, I remember being disappointed that there wasn't as much board participation.
That said, if we could figure out a way to avoid that later dynamic, or keep them from appearing cliquish, maybe they would be tolerated. They are really fun when you get to see everyone's funny comments.

It's amazing how touchy anyone is over Internet awards and a contained thread that people can just not click on if they don't like it/don't want to participate. You'd think people have to go through the SECsy thread just to access the whole board.

Understood and agree. Also, thank you for the history on it as well. The funnest thread I ever was a part of and thought it was clever as hell, and made fun of a difficult situation for us Auburn fans. Was the draft an Auburn poster thread when we were going to get the death penalty.
That was comedic gold.
