UConn won a National Championship playing the same way a few years ago.
And yes, people talk about teams getting hot at the right time. I think you’d have to be pretty basketball ignorant to not recognize that y’all didn’t fire on all cylinders until late in the season.

Not at all! That being said, I do feel like it kind of discounts the talent present. Beating one blue blood, fine. We're hot. Two? Hotter. Three? You're a great team. Congratulations. Almost every year there's a Cinderella. Sometimes they finish the drill, sometimes they don't. Butler comes to mind.

Butler wasn't a Cinderella. They made the championship game in back to back years. They were a very under seeded mid major. AU has been playing national championship caliber basketball for over a month now it's just no one was looking. I mean this team was like preseason #7 so it shouldn't be completely shocking.

You should probably take this up with your own broadcast team, who made a point today of saying after the game that Auburn couldn't match the talent of other teams in the tournament, and they win because they all love each other and are a family.
That was Rod Bramblett and Sonny Smith, btw.

Not the first time. But fair enough. I suppose we don't have enough wins (or NCAA Tournaments) under our belts to ask for the same respect as other teams in the tournament. It was just a thought.
