If YOUR daughter had been a victim of Winstons and came to you crying...or your sister etc etc, how would you feel about his comments? His track record speaks for itself and I don't think Butch Jones or UT brass would want this headache case.
What is stupid is the backtracking on suspension. Investigation? HUH? That insults intelligence. They know, I know and you know that the change in punishment is because of intense pressure by media and some students/educators/boosters + you have president come on national tv to blister the culture of campus rape and then the NFL circus, not a good time to jump on table to yell what he did.
I can honestly say that Id want him gone immediately if he were UF player...but he would have been gone already. The Florida State College for Women (which it was called until 1947 btw)is the little sister to us and always has had less money, less fans and less prestige.

For Winston to then jump on the "frick HER RIGHT IN THE PUSSY!!" bandwagon now causes the University to have all the wrong kinds of publicity. It's damage control, pure and simple.
Don't forget the long NYT article that basically hinted at the university and TPD trying to cover up a rape of a student to protect the Program.
In a media feeding frenzy FSU had a lot of blood in the water and is rather clueless about it.

The girls school has a lot of corporate sponsors and is feeling intense heat right now with threat of ending cash flows from some of them and that's always the biggest hammer.
Would not be surprised to see Winston let go to save face in light of all the bad publicity...Jumbo Dumbo will plead but it may be too late. Expect locker room unrest if this happens and the girls school may start losing recruits....there is indeed blood in the water. A lot of schools will take gloves off and whisper into recruits ears
Cant wait to hear Jack Larute (sp) on XM radio next week...he has his head so far up Jumbos azz it aint funny...why Jumbo even has weekly guest spot on his show every week. Jack had his head up diddy Bowdens rear end too. Jack soft pedaled any questions to Jumbo the other day.

You left out the BB gun incident (property damage after they had been admonished by police- no charges because they were "going to pay for the damages"), the stealing of soft drink incident, the two girls allegedly attacked during HS, the other woman saying that she also got assaulted by Jameis who traumatized her.

Honestly suspending him for the full game is more blood in the water then there already was..
Now they're asking "Why didn't you suspend him for the whole game earlier in the week? Why did you decide and defend that a half was okay and what made you change your mind?"
This kind of makes it worse. And there are probably some media types ready to make a career of this.
I think this is just getting started.

Eh, he's a kid. Kids do dumb shite. Cut the "he's a leader" bullshite. If there's more to the story, then sure punish him harshly, but an entire game suspension for yelling FHITP (good Christian advice, IMO) is way too much punishment. Make him do stadium stairs instead.
