You would probably want to give him a 10 contract extension.

I remember when the guys on the rountable asked Wimp if Pearl would take the AU job if it was offered and he said without a doubt. This was back when most everyone else seemed to think Pearl would wait for the right situation, Wimp seems to still have a lot of connections.

who do you think makes it next?

as ad? I think a lot of Bama fans want Ozzie Newsome. But that's unlikely to happen.

Though if he did, would he be the first black AD in the SEC? Are there any black ADs in the big 6?

Congrats on the moral victory. I hope that being better than shitty Auburn makes you feel better about the direction your program continues to go as those early 2000 tourney appearances get further & further in the rear view mirror.

Bama's program currently sucks, it is a difficult time to be a fan. Bama continuing to dominate a floundering AU program, grants a small amount of relief during these dark years.

Bama basketball doesn't measure success by beating historical cellar dweller AU, but for now it is all we have.

Cecil Hurt is currently on Finebaum, and he just said his expectation is that Alabama will keep Grant

Finebaum also just pointed out Grant is 3-28 against top 25 teams

nice contradiction

Lot of little brothering going on by the 'bama faithful who considers their only success this year is their record against first year HC Bruce Pearl.

well when you sweep a team you get to talk trash to them

Auburn is riding "we made this good hire, but we still suck this year, but it might get better!"

I don't think it is little brothering when your record against a team is 89 - 58

That's in football.

In basketball our championship history is, uhm, lacking so we have to resort to trivial things like beating Auburn. Same deal as Auburn has to do in football. We all have to do it in some sports. It is what it is.

lol at you trying to compare your shite basketball program to a football program that has played for and won more national championships in the last 5 years than your basketball program has in their entire existence

Seems like you try to compare your football program to ours which you could say the same thing about. Also, basketball and football are completely different when it comes to national championships. You look at Kentucky who is arguably the best basketball team in the country the last 5-10 years and they have won 1 NC.

Edit: Obviously I mean 1 NC in the last 5-10 years just to clarify.

Knew that would hook the "biggest" little bro on this site.

Point is we all have some little bro tendencies in those sports where our success is overshadowed. For some it's basketball, for others, like Auburn, it's football. Nothing to be ashamed of.
