Williams undergoes surgery after neck injury

Williams was injured on a run play in which he was grabbed by his face mask with 3:42 remaining in the third quarter. A crowd of more than 72,000 was in near complete silence while he was tended to on the field for 11 minutes, before being carted off and transported to a hospital for evaluation.

Glad to hear he should be OK. I hope this won't impact his football career, not for our sake but for his, because the young man has enough talent he could have a shot at the NFL.

Every team that face masks doesn't put the poor bastard that got face asked in the hospital for surgery and out for the season where he nearly had his head jerked off.

If that was 8 years ago, it would've been the 5 yard incidental face mask penalty imo... at the time, it didn't seem like a big deal

IS Alex Collins the only RB left? I know Kody Walker the FB got moved to RB again, but is Collins the only actual RB left?

We have plenty of RBs. Pay no attention to the fact that they offered me a scholarship to come back and gently fall in the direction of the first down marker.
Yeah, we are hosed at RB. Its the Collins and Walker show the rest of the way out. Anyone else we put in there is scout team/walk on/converted from another position.

Pretty much but he is dinged up too. We have one more scholarship RB, Denzell Evans, that never plays because frankly he isn't SEC level.
In OT yesterday, we were lining up with our 4th string RB, our 3rd string FB and a bunch of backup and walk-on WR's. The amount of injuries we've had on offense is unreal.
