Profound and prophetic. I can so, relate.
I'm not wrong. I get the dedication, but until they get a good coach, they will remain a sleeper/pretender.

I hate to admit but you are spot on with assessment.

Maybe there are fans that want him to lose but I don't know who they are.

LSU fans should want him never to lose a game
People have a real problem recognizing a distinction between what people want to happen vs what they think will happen.
I could give Orgeron all of my well wishes to be a great HC and it won't make one bit of difference. He is what he is and he's the only one that can change it.

Hey man, I might enjoy myself by shite flaming on here, but I can also talk sports and tell ya how it is.
The thing LSU should be worried about now is everyone else making moves. LSU did it, but fkd it up royally. Better hope no one else comes out hot when Alabama eventually goes down.

What’s wrong with your fan base and those that want to see Coach Ed fail?
Posted on 4/24/18 at 4:39 pm to Pigfeet
I personally want to see LSU get a chance to show us the beast they believe is there.
It's been quite a few years and it's heading the opposite direction the fans want.

It's hilarious to watch LSU fans pretend they didn't wanted Jimbo Fischer more than anything.

Your head coach has a 14-22 record, right?
His "defense" gave up 180 points to Memphis in 3 years and 173 to Navy in the same 3 years.
Ed's only managed 71 against Arky in the last 2 years - with Morris and Chavis he might be able to equal that in 3 quarters.

Ed has also been at schools with more of a recruiting advantage than Morris.
You go be a first time head coach at SMU and try to get kids to go there.

You think Navy has advantages over SMU?
And Ole Miss has recruiting advantages over SEC West schools?
Ok...

IDK if it's that some want to see him fail, but a large portion of the fan base likely realizes it's imminent. He's in over his head. I don't blame him for reaching for the low-hanging fruit; I blame Joe Alleva for making the job low-hanging fruit.
So ultimately, the question becomes: would you rather a quick, total collapse resulting in his firing and the possibility of lessening any lasting damage, or a slow, arduous, painful degradation over time that also results in his firing, but causes possible program altering effects?

True dat and I appreciate a good assessment from time to time as well.
