Yea, isn't 2013 supposed to Auburn's year?
Are we in a
1 - 1 - 2 - 1 pattern for Alabama / Auburn championships? If so, then yes this is Auburn's year.

Sorry, it's true. Louisville's domination of Florida has clouded your judgment as to what Louisville was last year. UL lost to Syracuse and Connecticut last year. They weren't very good.
They had only played two decent teams all season (both teams who Florida blew out) and lost both games convincingly.

Auburn wont even be .500 in the SEC this year.

I think Florida deserved to be in the Sugar Bowl last season far more than LSU did.
Since my point was NEITHER team belonged there I see your grasp of the obvious isn't very tight. The SEC East winner belongs in that game. Who was that again?

Because they're buying into the hype of a team that just got a top 5 recruiting class.
Yep hype. Ole Miss might win 8 but that's the high point. Maybe in a year or two they can make the Cotton again.

Didn't Florida almost lose to UL-L?

LSU lost the chicken bowl
I believe that was the first bowl game in over a decade where LSU did not sell its ticket allotment. A combination of a crappy offense, players protecting themselves for the draft, and general disdain for the chicken bowl didn't help.

Man I can't wait for you to eat your words... Ignorance is bliss I guess...

IIRC, UF was either tied or LOSING to some small time directional school with like 2 minutes left, then blocked a punt and returned it for a TD to win.
I think they scored like 2 TDs in the final 3 or 4 minutes to avoid total embarrassment.

They scored almost as many points against Florida in that one game as they have against LSU in the entire history of the series.

Georgia was pretty fricking close to taking it last year.
This - seems to me like UGA has a shot this year.
LSU has a tougher road to the SECCG too.

And what makes you think differently? AU will lose to A&M, LSU, UGA, and Bama again. And maybe to Ole Miss

Clemson wasn't great, but they were certainly better than Louisville by any measure (rank, computer score, SOS, margin of victory, etc). Clemson's SOS wasn't great, but Louisville's was laughably bad and Louisville had two really bad losses and their margin of victory in games against a pathetic schedule was very pedestrian.
Look the point is that some UF fan in this thread (maybe you, I don't remember) tried to make the point that because LSU lost to Clemson in a bowl game last year that they wouldn't be in contention for the SEC this year. That is an asinine argument to begin with. My retort that Clemson > Louisville was simply to point out that Florida fans really shouldn't use last year's bowl results as indicator of chance to win the SEC this year. Got it?

It's hard to say. Our offense will likely be the best in the conference, and one of the most lethal in the country. Scary good.
Our defense has some question marks though. Not saying they'll be bad, they're just unproven. We also have clemson, SC, and LSU all in the first month so that's tough.
If we make it to Atlanta I'd say we match up well with anyone, just because if we get that far our defense will have proven to be capable.

LSU had a very bad bowl draw. Shouldve been in the Sugar or Cotton

Almost losing to last season's Auburn is just as embarrassing as our performance against ULL.
