It's no different than a Florida fan doing the tomahawk chop towards FSU players or fans IMO.

Whatever man, if you can't see the blatant act of disrespect through your maroon colored glasses then there is no help for you on this subject, and I will drop it.

It would be if the story of the Landshark didnt everything to do with honoring a late rebel who was also part of our nations miltary.

If we didn't want him to do it we should have stopped him. That picture ought to be on the bulletin board all off-season. No reason to get upset about it. The kid was out there playing his rival and having fun. I'm not going to act like I wouldn't enjoy it if the shoe was on the other foot.

I'm pretty sure he didn't take the time to research it and maybe he was honoring him too.

This whole thread makes me wish I was dead. No one was disrespecting any dead people by making the "landshark" symbol and it wasn't thugery to do it. And how do you know the Bell family didn't love it? I'm pretty sure they are still State fans. Get over yourselves. I'm sure Nick and Tony got a big kick out of while they were watching it together. I guess this is just what fans who consistently finish 5th and 6th in the West have to argue about.

It's not so much the fact he did it that bothers me, it's the fact he was wearing Nick Bell's number and knowing the story of the Landshark. I know most people don't but if you did it would bother you too I suspect.

Oh well I'm done with my soapbox. Have a good night.

He was doing it to mock yalls defense, he was just having fun and it was not meant to disrespect fein in any way.
also what about shackelford (i think it was him) making a sack on relf and high stepping about 40 yards to the endzone showboating like he just made the game winning sack in the fricking super bowl? wtf is up with that

Also a thug move. If an Ole Miss player score a TD and then rang a cow bell. I would say that he is a dumb arse thug

Well he should have know what it was all about before he did it. The reason we don't get flagged is partly because it is in memory of Fein. That is why he got flagged when he did it the second time.

I'm confused?

It is a penalty for any other team except Ole Miss. to do the landshark celebration. Ole Miss can do it because it is in memory of Fein who used to do it after a tackle for a loss (I'm guessing that is how it started)

What I am confused about is why it was ok for Fein to do it? Shouldn't it have been a penalty then?

And honoring a deceased player doesn't allow a player to do something that constitutes an excessive celebration.

And for the record I don't think the landshark should constitute a penalty, but I don't think you can let one team do it then penalize the other team for doing the exact same thing.

I'm an Ole Miss fan and a proud dropout. I know the story. I'm suggesting that maybe he didn't, and was just trying to stir some shite.

Working. I'll be back in school in January. Little gpa repair and then I'm going to finish up at LSU.

So if I pull the trigger of a gun and it hits someone it's not my fault since I didn't know what was going to happen? But anyway I knew this was what the reaction was going to be so I should have left it alone.

You can call me wrong but don't call me butt hurt.
I can prove I'm not.
