I mean why the hell didn't they shut down all flights to UK, reject all people with passports that entered UK, then made all people who have been in Europe the past month stay in a quarantine before joining the general public???

That has already been determined to be a racist tactic.

Contagious? Is it more lethal than the original or just more contagious?

Depends on who you ask. The great news is the Flu has been pretty much wiped out

Yeah, well, I remember WHO stating there was no evidence of Human to Human transmission.

Yesterday they stated this:

quote:

"I don't believe we have the evidence on any of the vaccines to be confident that it's going to prevent people from actually getting the infection and therefore being able to pass it on”, says WHO Chief Scientist @doctorsoumya

I mean how do we as a country screw this stuff up twice?

Because all decisions are not as easy as you try to make them. There are 2nd and 3rd order effects that have to be taken into consideration.

It's not Covid messing up College football. It's gov and politics and it looks like they are going to do it again next year.

So that’s what bothers you and not the fact that close to a half million US lives will be lost?

FWIW, if we improve testing and tracing along with successful widespread vaccinations the outlook improves for 2021. It’s too early to speculate on the variant.

Football, and sports in general, pale compared to the catastrophic harm of the pandemic.

If only there would have been a plan or a playbook of some sort. Obviously we didn’t need one with the omniscient Trump.
