If the Barn had scheduled ANY Div 1 football team instead of 1AA Citadel that year, they would have had enough strength of schedule points to get into the national championship game. That's a mathematical fact.
Plenty of teams have good and reasonable reasons to whine. But I'm sick of hearing the "we got screwed" argument from the Barn. Go look in the mirror.
[And before you put your fingers in high gear to type a torrid response, the "USC is out, Okla lost, so SOMEBODY must be champion - might as well be us" argument doesn't fly either.]

Chizik recruits alot better than Tubs and may hire the best assistants of anyone in the country. Tubs didn't even compete with him in either of those regards. As an actual gameday coach, there is not enough data there to prove either way yet, IMO...

This is the reason he has had the success so far. With Malzahn gone it will be interesting to see how AU will do. I think Chizik is good at surrounding himself with good people and recruiting. I really don't think he is very good at the X's and O's but that's just my opinion.

Well I'm currently getting my college degree and plan on starting a very successful business along with my own farm once I'm out of school so yes I will help out the state. Until then I'll continue to post and you can go frick yourself with a hot iron poker.
