Chizik takes over a team with no talent in the toughest division ever in CFB and wins an NC in his 2nd year.

Tubs has like 3 good seasons in a row out 10 years in a much weaker conference at the time.

Chizik recruits consistent top 10 classes, and the only two bad seasons he has had were his very first year here and a year after losing most all of his starters and 30+ players.

This year isn't looking too promising either though. At best 9 wins but most likely another 7-5 or 8-4 season. If he wins doesn't win 8 or more games does his seat start to heat up?

I like how the only fans concerned with Chiz's job security are other teams'

But no, if he doesn't win alot in 13 or 14, his seat will be hot. Auburn should be very good in the near future

And it wasn't supposed to.. don't try to make it into something that it never was.

Tubbs won 80% of his SEC games. I don't Chizik will be able to claim that once he leaves.

You can't even compare the state of the SEC between the two coaches times at Auburn. Totally different.

When Tubs was at Auburn, the SEC wasn't nearly as good. Arkansas, Alabama, and MSU are significantly better now, and LSU, UGA, and UF are just as good as they were.

The SEC was still pretty stacked starting in about 2003. The East had more quality teams and the West was decent with AU, LSU, and occasionally Bama and Arky. Florida, UGA, and Tennessee were very good during those years.

The power has just shifted almost entirely to the West now.

He seems to be on the same path as Tubs... great season once in awhile then a string of mediocre seasons.

Yes chizik won a NC but Tubs should have gotten one too he just got screwed by the polls. So far I think Tubs was more impressive with the undefeated season, with a few 10 win seasons, and 6 in a row against bama.

Chizik will be a one hit wonder imo.

No offense meant BUT......

Why the frick are fans of the shithole MSU getting uppity after 10 years or so of being awful? Just because you were picked to be about as good as Auburn doesn't mean that you will be.

In two months, all the MSU will realize that Starkville is still a shithole and your team sucks and will disappear again when the fresh scent of preseason picks drifts away.

No, they had 3 in UGA, UF, and UT. They still have 3 with UGA, UF, and USC.

Bama was good in 05. That's it. Arkansas wasn't good until 06. They both weren't very good until those years

Which makes it even harder for Chizik as compared to Tuberville. You're proving our point
