They would only last until Mason Taylor’s senior year….

So it would take him 4 years to accomplish what it took Brock 3. Pretty that Brock is better then.

He’s absolutely incredible. Still , seeing Newsome up there and remembering how Bama was a running team of that era makes me still put him as The Goat. But Bowers is more fun to watch imho than almost any player in recent memory.

I think if Bowers has another season like his first two, it’ll make him the runaway GOAT TE in SEC history.

The stats and the highlight reels are beyond insane. Plus he has two rings and he’s caught a TD pass in both NCG’s.

And by then, he’d be a top-15 draft pick at least.

Can’t argue that. The tape doesn’t lie.

He might’ve just barely rounded out the top 5 for Iowa TEs this century, had he gone there

Good thing he didn’t because he has a Mackey Award and 2 CFP rings. No way he’d accomplish that at Iowa.

Not saying they were, but you couldn’t just abandon him. He was a real NFL-caliber threat that you had to at least pay attention to. Of course the “focus” has always been on Bowers, but now the thing that kept defenses honest and balanced in how they played Georgia’s TE’s is out. That will allow LB’s and safeties to cheat more than they’ve been able to previously UNLESS Oscar Delp steps up. Which, btw, I think is a strong possibility.

He was just about as good in the catch and yardage stats his rookie year. He had more TDs his rookie year. Darnell didn't play a whole lot his rookie year.

Bowers is what a true 5 star athlete looks like. I enjoy watching him play.

Probably.

He’s definitely the best TE I’ve ever seen in the SEC and he started fast.
