ive been following SEC baseball since the mid 1980s, and ive never once considered Crimson Tide baseball to be one of the best programs in the SEC during this time...conversely, it was a 3 year run during the 80s that is the only reason state college/starksville is considered a top level SEC program.

You got a lot to learn about SEC baseball, pal!
#2 Alabama

"As with football, Alabama Baseball has a great winning tradition. After their 2006 SEC regular season conference baseball championship, the Crimson Tide tied LSU for the most SEC regular season titles with 14. The Crimson Tide also leads the conference in the most SEC Tournament Championships with seven. Appearing five times in the NCAA College World Series, Bama finished second in 1983 and 1997. The Crimson Tide were led in those seasons by the all-time winningest coach in Alabama baseball history, Jim Wells. Alabama has also made 20 appearances in the SEC Baseball Tournament (fewer than Mississippi State and LSU), but has earned 7 Tourney Titles (the most out of the top 3)."
