This is false:
There were 2 polls at the time - the Associated Press and the Helms Athletic Foundation. The former selected Ohio State and the latter selected Wisconsin.
And no, the Rose Bowl didn't choose Georgia over OSU. Big 10 schools weren't allowed to play in postseason games at the time, so there goes that myth.

Yes they did.
B(QPRS), BR, DeS, HS, L, PS, SR, WS all named Georgia.
There a ton of polls that named their own champions. Those were the ones that picked Georgia. It wasn't until 1950 that the NCAA decided to officially recognize only teams picked by certain polls, none of which existed in 194
Richard Billingsley wasn't a poll.
William Boand wasn't a poll.
Harry DeVold wasn't a poll.
Deke Houlgate wasn't a poll.
Edward Litkenhous wasn't a poll.
Richard Poling wasn't a poll.
Jeff Sagarin has never been a poll.
Paul Williamson wasn't a poll.
I can't believe I'm explaining this.

Ok. No use arguing then. if you refuse to use actual polls, then I can't argue with you. I gave you actual polls and you wanted to argue that not one named georgia. When i showed you that not only one did, but 8 different polls name Georgia as National Champions, you now want to scream Wikipedia.....but not until you wanted to use Winsipedia as a Poll and The College Football Warehouse. News Flash. Those aren't polls.

Dude. Of the polls that existed, more polls, by far, picked Georgia in 1942. Not true of Auburn in 1913.
Only 2 polls existed at the time, and neither one picked Georgia.

All of those came out with rankings and were nationally recognized, were they not?

Billingsley
The Boand System was a system for determining the college football national championship.[1] It was also known as the Azzi Ratem system.[2] The system was developed by William F. Boand.[2] The rankings were based on mathematical formula.[3] Boand announced annual national champions on a current basis from 1930 to 1960. He also chose national champions on a retroactive basis for the years from 1919 to 1929. The Boand System is recognized as a "National Champion Major Selector" by the Official NCAA Division I Records Book.[4]
I can go down the list to show you that their findings were Nationally recognized and accepted.

That's not moving the goal posts. I said Georgia was recognized by more nationally recognized sources that any other team. True, maybe not in the exact words, but you can decide if you are going to strain at gnats, or agree that I was right. More nationally recognized sources of naming the National Champions named Georgia than any other team in 1942. Not so with Auburn in 1913.
This would have been a more accurate way of wording it, but it all comes down to the same thing. Georgia has a right to claim 1942, and Auburn could make a case, but it would be much more tenuous.

You do see that every single one of the the selectors for National Titles was cited in the article that you linked, right? Every one of the selectors that name Georgia was named.
You are correct that they are not polls, but they were nationally recognized and accepted.
Your article also showed that more of these sources named Georgia than any other team.

I went to Emory, we do not have a football team but I am a Georgia native and I follow SEC football. All this bickering is silly. The last time Ga won a natty they did not have to play the 2 and 3 teams from the Sec And they got to play ND . ND was ranked like 3or4. If Ga wins this year ,they will have beaten the two best teams in the SEC and maybe the defending NC. They will have earned it.
