I have been loving this rivalry recently.

So you just love being owned by LSU? That's what you're saying right?

And yall are tired of losing to Bama. Doesn't mean anything.

At least we have gotten some side benefits from our losses to LSU recently. Yall don't get shite out of those Bama beatdowns.

I love that our series with LSU pushes your program to make terrible coaching choices, and our program to make good ones.

I was hoping our loss this year would also get Coach O an extension, but I will have to settle for it getting Aranda a head coaching job.

There is no way to truly know. Thankfully, as an LSU fan, it doesn't matter. LSU did get a title under Saban, and played on 2 more under Miles, winning one. And currently has Ed fricking Orgeron and is still about to be 10-3.

Think about that. These programs are lightyears apart at the moment, and have been for my entire adult life.

Only those want to win hardware.

a7m is the ugly with rich parents.

Better question: will a7m stop trying to build it's program off of LSU and Louisiana?

Nothing original. All imitation.

Your "program" has never pushed anything other than the AID'S virus.

You don't even know if firing Sumlin was a good decision yet. He averaged 8 wins a year at A&M. There is no guarantee any coach available will get you better than that. But what we do know if y'all will overpay him, per usual, which would be that bad decision.

Side benefits? You currently are a dumpster fire with no head coach. The only side benefit you get from losing to LSU consistently is adding it as another aggy tradition.

Exactly. We will never know so its a useless talking point.

When you look at the big picture- national titles, Heismans, conference titles, etc. - LSU in 1999 and A&M in 1999 were almost the same program. Saban changed everything.

Frankly it probably should be that way. LSU sits on the best talent pool in the country and is the top program in its state. The best we will ever be is an Auburn or FSU of Texas, and that is the way it is. Heck I hope and pray one day we are the Auburn or FSU of Texas because that means we finally lived up to our potential.

He is a great example of how much of college football comes down to talent on the sidelines. Hence why I want Jimbo- he will be a recruiting force in our state overnight.

No program that has won eight wins years in a row (before this season) with multiple top 15 classes on the roster is a dumpster fire. We are far better off than most program in the sport.

True but at least we are trying to get the best guy we can possibly get. Joe over at LSU can't say that.

What the frick does that even mean? If Harbaugh makes what he makes then Jimbo at $7.5 million a year isn't overpaying him.

The whole "yall are overpaying him" sounds like sour grapes because yall have an AD that won't spend the big bucks on a top head coach.

Orgeron did what he said he would do. He retained the talent, and added where needed, and left them alone for the most part.

We will see if Canada leaves this year for a HC job.

Joe could say exactly that. He went after the best, then gave up. Same with Currie. You still don't know how this plays out for A&M. It's tough to make a splash hire when your short list of candidates says no thanks.

And Harbaugh is overpaid. He's undeserving of that salary, on all accounts. He's also the anomaly. Kevin Sumlin didn't earn 5M a year after a flash in the pan season. Programs like A&M are contributing to the problem of coaches being paid much more than they are worth, and therefore having short lived HC stints when they don't earn that paycheck in 5 or so seasons. It's unrealistic.

And LSU had the highest paid staff under Miles and currently the highest paid DC in the country. They spend the hell out of money.
