He is at Auburn, that's why.
When a Duke, North Carolina or Kentucky comes calling, he will leave.

Except they won't. The logical choices won't spend the money on him.

Don’t think any of those schools would hire him. Kansas either. Duke and UNC are set for a while. No sign of Self or Cal leaving either.

He would leave if Rick Barnes gets fired or retires and come back to Knoxville. He loves it here, even lived here after he was fired. Steven Pearl personally told me that his dad would do anything he could if the opportunity ever presented itself again to rewrite how his story ended at Tennessee.
His daughter may beg to differ.

Auburn is the perfect place for Bruce to become legendary. He’s built the program, it’s his, it’ll be his court one day.

I know there is a group that despises him still today but I can’t wrap my head around their hate. I know he has had trouble with breaking rules in the past but the man seems extremely genuine, a great coach and extremely nice guy.
You are correct also. Now show me any successful CBB coach who doesn't try to bend the rules to their favor.
Bet you can't.
And Petino is an unlikeable pretentious arse, unlike CBP.

15-20
11-20
18-14
26-8 - with a limited and undersized roster
Where's the cheating? It's like all anybody has on Auburn basketball is Pearl's wiki, and a bunch of unobjective hit piece articles.

It’s all legal now, chief.

Did he get fired from Tennessee for cheating? I'll hang up and listen.
