That's one reason....plus he'd fail worse than Saban

Saban couldn't stand not being able to be the 5'6" tyrant in the nfl. His personality doesn't fit with the big boys. I hope Gus doesn't go to the NFL but his demeanor wouldn't be a negative like Saban.

That's not a bad thing. He's smart enough and his ego isn't so big to think that he can succeed in any arena. He sticks to what he's good at, and makes a damn good living doing it.

That is kind of my take on him also. He seems very humble. He knows what works best for him. I learned a lot about him when his name started being mentioned for the Texas job.

Sounds like the same reason Saban rather coach college.
it is, for the most part ... auburn fans won't admit it, and bama fans won't admit it about gus ... people want to be cynical ... it's easier and usually costs less ...

Smart people identify what their threshold is, and go with it. I'm in banking, and my ultimate goal is not CEO, but COO. I have absolutely no interest whatsoever taking on that highest position...not because I don't think I could obtain it, but because I have no interest in being just a figurehead whose main job is giving speeches/lectures and praying the actual movers and shakers don't frick it up. Know your ceiling and stay there.

There first has to be interest from the NFL

That is the year I was referencing. LSU won the first quarter. LSU has not won a quarter since then. DWI
