Y’all hate ole miss so much you refuse to engage with a legit point. There is a reason the ncaa basketball committee doesn’t heavily reward a buzzer beater win or punish a buzzer beater loss: because the fact the game was close is more predictive than the bounce of a ball.
If 3 balls bounce differently, ole miss is 11-0 even though they would be the exact same team (talented but flawed).
Just for fun, if multi score wins against ranked teams are +1, multi score losses are -1, and 1 score games are -0.5, here’s how the top teams would stack up:
UGA 1
Ole Miss 0.5
Notre Dame 0.5
OSU 0
Oregon -0.5
Penn state -1
Texas -1
Indiana -1.5
Scar -1.5
UT -2
SMU -2
Miami -2
Aggies -2.5
Clemson -2.5
Alabama -3
Given that either smu or Miami is guaranteed another loss and Clemson plays SCar, that is honestly a good top 10 to get the non big 12/G5 slots.

Conveniently ignores the stats on Toledo who skulldrug them and sucked the soul out of Davis Wade like Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat. Tries to compare a mid pack MAC program to UK who yes beat us and nearly notched a victory against UGA and was apparently expected to win all of their Top 15 opponents. Longest Win Streak in my life was Ole Miss - 5 from 75-79.
Ole Miss has a considerable edge, and is and has historically been the better program. There is no question.

The reason Ole Miss DOESN'T deserve a playoff spot is a loss to a 4-7 Kentucky, a loss to 6-5 Florida and to 7-4 LSU.
