I hear LSU fans talking about having a history with A&M.
I ain't read the whole thread but fyi...
LSU has played Arky more than they have played A&M.
More history with Arky.
A&M has played Arky more than they played LSU.
More history with Arky.
We are more of a rival for the both of you than you are to each other.

King...we are not your rival, deal with it !
We don't want to be your rival, deal with it !
We WILL get our game w/ you moved to mid season, deal with it !
You will no longer get the year end game with LSU, deal with it !

The Arkansas fans don't want to give up this game at the end of the season for one reason.
LSU has been and always will be ranked higher than Arkansas in the last game of the season .
If they win or play LSU tough, It looks good to the pollsters and bowl selection committees.
Riding LSU's coattails this way allows them a chance to be ranked higher than they really should be.
Even worse it can get them into bowl games they have no business being in. (Sugar Bowl)
But that's going away now.
Nobody will care if they beat Missouri in their last game.
It won't help them at all and they know it.
That's why the butt-hurt is flowing from them.

What does that even mean? We are 8-5 against you since '99. Is that the AR-Kansas math ????
I don't think the Aggies appreciate your genius either.

renewing the historical rivalry between a&m and LSU is the most appealing thing about the expansion of the SEC. That is the game LSU needs to play on rivalry weekend.
You idiot, it was about money, nothing more nothing less. You think anyone gives a crap about what you LSU people want? Think again.
Bama is and always will be the darling of the SEC, you just like us are an after thought.

There's a lot of truth in that
Personally I think LSU and Bama should close the season while they are both on top. I like the idea of opening the season against A&M because that's a good rivalry game for both teams to kick things off. FWIW I recognize LSU/Bama will not close the season because of the Bama/Auburn history... and there would be years when it would be a different two teams atop the West who should be playing at the end of the year anyway
I know this kind of thing gets under the skin of Arkansas fans but respect comes with winning your conference and hopefully more. In the SEC we have Tenn, Florida, Auburn, Alabama and LSU with BCS titles - and UGA with at least a couple SEC championships since 1998.
Why should anyone care about Arkansas compared to those programs? Or even compared to a school like A&M that brings in more of the Texas market.

Just pure number of games played doesn't really mean much. I consider Arky more of a "rival" than Tulane but we've played them like triple the amount we've played Arky.
We care more about A&M than we do you. Deal With It.
