One of the things I've noticed about BK at LSU is that he is very selective about the players he recruits. He wants high character players, with high football IQ'S, and a good work ethic. He does not just take the most talented player.

Jimbo, and also Ed O, do make decisions based on talent alone. Of course there are exceptions to that, but it's clear that BK was OK with some very talented players leaving LSU.

It has never been more obvious, to me, that yes you want extremely talented players, but there is more to overall football talent than physical attributes.

It was very noticeable when Fisher left FSU, there was all kinds of cancer in that program. It has nearly destroyed the Seminoles.

I think Fisher might struggle if A&M fires him. I'm sure someone will hire him, but there is a lot of evidence that he's missing some very important coaching attributes.

I don’t think anyone will hire him. He is at the end of the rope, imo.

I'm not saying they don't, but JF has more bad than good.

Jimbo certainly has his own issues, but A&M will never have a winner. Their bizarre culture won’t allow for it.

Do you think this is some kind of revelation? No one’s ever thought about this? I get what you’re saying but I don’t think it’s as cut and dry as this.

Say all that and then look at Harold Perkins.

Fisher was 14-10 in ACC after Winston. There’s your answer. This is what he is.

I’ll agree with you that BK does not take the most talented players

It’s being able to recognize the players who think they are bigger than the program.

In some ways I think Boutte thought he was bigger than the program. With him staying Kelly had to make it completely clear that while he wants him on the team it won’t be to the detriment of the team.

The thing that was made clear about Perkins was he grew emotionally as a young man and has worked hard to develop his obvious talents. Yes he's highly rated but he's playing like he is because he works hard and is coachable.

Has Perkins been caught smoking weed in the locker room ? Has he been caught with 17oz of weed in his car ?

Jimbo is a certified disaster and aggy is screwed. All you milkmen talked shite all offseason. 4 wins in and no bowl game. aggy is THE laughing stock of the SEC. Nothing you sausage eaters can do about it. At least you have the aggy superbowl this weekend.

aTm has no culture of success in football.
Evidence:
1. Printing cups
2. Trophies for “future championships”
3. Their past 40 years records

Jimbo can’t manage culture.
Evidence:
1 covering up Crableg’s bad deeds
2. FSU post Winston
3. Opt outs / suspensions this year.

This isn’t a troll. Very few football coaches successfully install and maintain culture- it is why there is so much turnover in the job.

Spot on. Jimbo left Tallahassee in flames and Aggie gave him 100m. That’s what they hired.

You mean buying highly rated recruits without any regard to whether they fit the system, the culture or to fill needed spots is a bad idea?

What I see is Jimbo just going after star ratings and not doing to necessary work to actually analyze and evaluate each player. It’s lazy and at the same time satisfies the Aggy fans because it gives them hope. And he would limp to 8-9 wins on talent, just enough to keep his job.

This year it has imploded and you can see the truth.
