I just don't understand this argument at all, literally the only thing their fan base is known for is burning couches after beating pretty much anyone. For christ sakes they would practically light the town on fire after a win over Pittsburgh of all teams. We have just as many people at our game and a potential to grow exponentially like arky and USCe did. Come to a game in Columbia before you just write our fan base off as a "terrible fit for the SEC"

As happy as I am that we added Mizzou...WVU would have obviously been a better fit

Aggies, just do something significant. Win something. Show the world that there is something more to A&M than potential. Quit talking about Texas and DO SOMETHING THAT IS CONSIDERED AN ACCOMPLISHMENT. Being accepted in the SEC is wonderful, but it is also the most significant accomplishment in the school's history. Or are you going to look back in 20 years like Hog fans and brag about the neighborhood you live in? Put skins on the wall or STFU. You couldn't in your old neighborhood, but maybe you can in the new one. Why would not most logical people think that A&M is writing a check its arse can't cash? What in your history should make anyone a believer in A&M other than Aggies?

Before Texas winning a national championship in 2005, did Texas consider itself elite? Rather irrelevant before the MNC according to "We're Texas" standards. A&M has always had the potential but a few bad coaching hires

dude, the sec also has couch burners and in addtion to that, tree poisoners, ex-coach effigy hangers, toilet paper throwers, home invasion athletes, tea baggers, barking adults.....wvu would have fit right in...what 'cha got?

It has to be in the longhorn DNA. Each and every last one of them cannot help but be an insufferable douche with a REALLY short-term, selective memory. They ADMITTED LAST YEAR that A&M in the SEC is a nightmare for them. They are no lo ger the most attractive program in Texas and they frickin' know it they lost what they had for 100+ years. They are second fiddle now and the asshat that caused it still has a frickin' job.

If Sumlin has a modicum of success he'll be able to recruit with UT I think. It will be key for A&M to show they can play with SEC teams though, win or lose.
