The depth is not as much of a problem on offense as defense.

Depth is an issue at the off side LB.

Sampson had 604 yards on 102 carries. Despite splitting time with 2 other guys that are on NFL rosters today. He’s over 1,000 yards in his 2 seasons. Hardly hopes and dreams.

You would only use this reasoning for a vol player

If depth is the issue, why was Heupel so competitive in his first year?

2 years worth of carries with over 100 touches last year alone.

Now note I am not proclaiming him great, I’m not proclaiming a sure fire 1st rounder. I’m saying he is more than adequate in the Heupel run heavy O system . That’s the difference. You proclaimed every RB before Chubb was the next Herschel and every RB since him to be the next Chubb. I say Sampson is good enough to be the #1 guy in Heapels system with Nico at QB to win 10 games. You would knight him as a hall of famer in waiting.

Just gurley, and he was a badass, just as chubb was.

No one said this about edwards, who was as you put it “more than adequate”.

Every single one for 20 something years. Every player that left was addition by subtraction, every recruit was significantly better than the guys signed etc.

Fans hyping up recruits or former backups for false hope is pretty normal. That used to be uga. That has been TN for a long, long time, and most expect that to remain the same.

I feel like they are much stronger than 7th or 8th place.

What is holding back the perception?

I would be worried about your team since I am guaranteeing 3 regular season losses for LSU this coming season. Go ahead bookmark this.

How can you say that the last time both teams played each other Heupel and Tennessee beat Brian Kelly and LSU in a blowout fashion.
