I hope he signed the contract so Bama can get paid if he leaves

Alabama is not going to try to extract a pound of flesh for an assistant coach they may want to hire again in the future because they left for an NFL job in February.

It's clear he doesn't like the South nor his family did. You can trash Bama all you want but last I check Louisiana was further south.

The Crimson Tide have yet to announce Grubb's hire

Alabama hasn’t officially announced the hires of any of the assistant coaches. If you go to RollTide.com (UA athletics official website) and you go to the football coaching staff, the only coach listed is DeBoer.

Funny how when Alabama fans do it, you're just trolling.

But anyone else, and they're "scared."

Gotta love the double standards on this board

Six threads on this subject from pot-stirrers/ trolls who know absolutely nothing other than an anonymous sauce'd report that Grubb is a favorite.

Sure is a lot of messaging for a program you hold in tDecline and amazing how Bama [not even Saban now] rules your college football lives.

This trolling is up there with B1G trolls spasming threads here in the SEC forum.

PS - My personal favorite is still from the moron who claimed to know what Grubb's wifes favorite dish is and why she won't move to T-Town.

Reminds me of all the "BK to Michigan" threads.

'Bama owned LSU's arse long before Saban came to town. Don't expect that to change in the next 50 years, much less any time soon.

Wait you mean having 2 of the best ever helps?

When Saban was at LSU we beat Alabama 4/5.

There’s not another goat walking through the door. Y’all have been stupidly lucky to have 2 as it is.

There is absolutely nothing special about Alabama.

Alabama had fantastic teams before Bryant and between Bryant and Saban.

Alabama's history is very much more than just two coaches. It was Alabama, more than any other Southern school, that legitimized Southern football around the nation in the early 20th century.

I want to say that even though Denbrock had a new contract and was still doing stuff for LSU, they never made an official announcement and now he’s at ND, so you never know.

I mean it's pretty well known that LSU didn't really financially invest in football to the level Alabama did prior to 2000.

Tennessee was the most successful SEC program pre Bryant

Not that Alabama is Ole Miss or something but having 40 of the last 65 years coached by literally 2 of the best to ever do it is you know, helpful.

To expect that to be the norm going forward is myopic at best.

Contract year for UW coaches ends January 31. After January 31, buyouts may decrease. Grubb's buyout, I believe, is either $1.5 or $2.0, inapplicable if takes a HC or NFL position. Shephard and Sheridan, I believe, have buyouts. As of a couple of years ago, Huff didn't. KDB made some type of comment at the Senior Bowl that the coaches were going to start some type of activities "next week".

Nobody should have been able to have Saban's success in the modern era but he did anyway. I just think some on here are rejoicing like Alabama is going to return to the Shula days when it is more likely they just hired someone who will have Stallings type success. Gotta remember, even a loser like Shula still managed to win 10 games at Alabama one time, Franchoine won 10 games once too, and Dubose did it while winning the SEC (he even beat Spurrier twice in one year what the frick lol).
