Well I think the LSU AD and Miles both said they thought permanent rivals should end.

Actually what they said was either the permanent rivals should end OR the division winner should be based on division record. That way, a SECW team that gets a cake eastern schedule(bama '12 & '13) can't automatically get to ATL by default. It is funny how the people that want equity in conference scheduling get ridiculed by the fans of the old guard that want nothing more than to protect the powers in Birmingham that "create" these "equitable" schedules.

I love that game.
We don't complain that we have to play a perennial powerhouse each year. We complain that others don't have to as well.
I don't want that game to end. I want the other teams to play tough East teams as well. We need UT to get awesome again so they can fight Bama for recruits and actually contend in that game physically.
UF should have the same gripe towards your East foes.

No, I just want that to happen.
What is a message board if not for complaining about how shitty UT is?

People vote in their own self interest. The little six will never vote to play the big six when they can play each other. My problem is not with the permanent game, it is with the overall strength of each teams cross division schedule and the fact that Bama gets the benefit of having an alum with his hand on the conference schedule button. How else do you explain Bama getting to rotate Kentucky, Mizzou and Tennessee in '12 & '13 while LSU plays Florida, South Carolina and Georgia. Everyone knew when these schedules were made that Bama and LSU had the best chances of winning a title and the schedules were completely stacked in Bama's favor from an administrator in Birmingham with a Bama degree. FACT

LSU is 6-7 against Florida in the last 13 years so its been a pretty even series. I actually like playing Florida every year. You have to beat the best to be the best.

It's not about fear. Why should we fear you? Check the record over the past 10 years. No reason for fear.
It's about fairness and the SEC kissing Bama and Auburn's asses so they can keep their annual games with the Vols and Georgia. Who gives a shite? Does anyone think those games really matter? The league has changed. CFB landscape has changed.
Personally, I want to play Georgia, Tennessee, USCe more frequently.
Besides, Gainesville is a shithole with the most rude fans, nastiest campus cops and inhospitable local folks ever.

No, you're just too stupid to understand that there will never be equality as long as SEC teams don't play every other team in the conference an equal number of times.
I'm sorry you were born with inferior cognitive abilities, but please stop clogging up the internet with this ignorant bullshite.

Florida fans talking about who is scared? Try scheduling an OOC game outside of Florida some time....
LSU has played numerous PAC 12 schools, and we play TCU opening day...
Florida Gators? They play Toledo...
at home of course

Don't you have a Walmart to go to?
It's true...during the day, all Alabama fans go and huddle and muffle around in Walmarts. That's why they put the BCS trophy there

Word. This is why I like LSU playing a more challenging schedule . This is also why I dont have a problem playing Florida and Georgia next year.
Id rather watch LSU in a more tough/competitive game any day than LSU having a glorified scrimmage vs Sewannee, Toledo, etc.

quote:There is more than one way to make things equitable (or at least the illusion of equitable) but I'm sure you will tell me the SECE schedule for Bama which consists of teams with a 1-15 SEC record from last year is no different than LSU's SECE schedule which consists of teams with a 14-2 SEC record from last year. Nothing to see here... The SEC office in Birmingham just made an honest mistake or just pulled these teams out of a hat.
