You make a great point. Would that explain why 14 of Gurley's 27 TD's came against non conference opponents while only 6 of Yeldon's 26 did?

Give it up, man. You have firmly lost.

And think....you made the case for Gurley.

So you're still fighting this uphill battle of trying to convince people that Yeldon is better than Gurley. It's admirable but I'd go ahead and give it up, you're not going to get very far.

Can we make this a conference schedule thread?

Look at what Gurley did against Bama in the SECCG. Look at what he did to Florida defense that same year. Two of the best defenses in the nation that year. Gurley is on another level, he just needs to drink his milk. Nothing against Yeldon either, he just fumbles way too much.

It really doesn't matter because jeremy hill was better than both them.
Fournette will be too.

I agree but a 40 time is literally the exact same thing as break away speed. How fast are you running in a straight line when people are chasing you. It was relevant to the point that was made earlier, but I agree with your point as well.

if they ran the 40 in pads I might agree
but they dont so IMO the 40 time is mostly useless.

just b/c you have a faster 40 time in shorts doesnt mean you will retain that speed over a person once the pads go on.

you cant run the same way with pads that you do w/o.

anyone who has done it should know.

its part of hwy I loved Johnny's decision to do his pro day in pads.

why the hell would you trust a workout w/o them when you play the game w/them on?

It's been said already, but the OL situation at bama has been much better than at Jawja

You're bait is not strong enough. Go practice on another board and then come back in a year or so.

Either Richt lost control of his Oline recruiting or coaching. Either way. Roll Tide.

Has an LSU fan brought up scheduling yet?? Gurley's tumbling over top defenses almost every week and Yeldons getting carries against high school teams. I guess that makes the stats slightly skewed...

Can I sum this thread up now?

In Todd Gurley's favor: more rushing yards, rushing carries, rushing touchdowns, receptions, receiving touchdowns, and less fumbles. In TJ Yeldon's favor: BamaDoc14's opinion. Let's also include that Todd Gurley has missed more football games, and that Alabama's offensive line has been better during the 2 year time span...

I guess that might be why Todd Gurley is consistently ranked ahead of TJ Yeldon. I'm not quite sure, though...

Fumbles at VERY wrong times and he doesn't have very good breakaway speed. Solid back nevertheless.

Yeldon is definitely faster than Gurley. Gurley is the better RB but he's not faster.

There it is!!!! We have all the best players but its only because we have the best players, so in turn, they're not the best players.

Not sure if Gumps really think Yeldon is better or just trolling
