You dumb. You answered your own question with the stats

no dog in this hunt but if i could take one to replace Josey, I would pick Gurley and it's really not even close.

I'd be happy with either one of them. Yeldon is a good back and so is Gurley. What's funny is that Yeldon has quietly put himself into position to break Shaun Alexander's career rushing record in just three years.

Simple answer, he is better

This with the added fact that Gurley missed several games last year
It's funny that a lot of the answers have viewed this as a positive thing.

Not a positive. Just a fact. Another fact is that Gurley put up most of his numbers last year while at 70-80%. Even in the bowl game you could tell he was still hurting but he was the best player on the field.
You're really digging this hole bigger and bigger for yourself.
Answer this: in your heart of hearts, do you feel like Yeldon is the superior running back to Gurley?

I was gonna ask if it was too late to join the thread and if OP had realized how retarded he looks. The answer apparently is no.

I don't see a huge difference. Their production is almost identical and that's what matters to me.

Yeldon = another overrated Bama RB.

Not really. Just pointing out that if he had not gotten injured (A freak injury, I might add) that his stats would blow Yeldon't stats out of the water.
Don't get me wrong, Yeldon is an excellent back and will do well this year and in the pros. I just feel like Gurley has a little something extra. An intangible that you can't quite put your finger on.

And yet, you somehow view that Yeldon having lower numbers than Gurley equate to Yeldon being a better back. go figure.

No, their yards and rushing TDs are almost identical.
However, one guy has had defenses key in on him his whole career while the other had the benefit of having an NFL running back punish defenses before he came in. One had an elite OL while the other had a patchwork. One has 8 fumbles, many in critical games at critical times while the other has 3 that have mostly been irrelevant. One has 200 more receiving yards and 6 times as many receiving TDs as the other.
So no, they aren't really identical.

Oh, Yeldon is good. He's very good. I don't think anybody on here would argue that point.

You didn't answer the question and no the production is not identical when you factor in receiving.
Who do you think is pound for pound the better running back? Yeldon or Gurley?

12 game schedules will do that.

I don't think anyone is saying that Gurley is miles ahead of Yeldon. Every ranking I've seen has Gurley as number 1, but Yeldon is always in the top 3 so i don't think anyone is disrespecting him as a player or saying he isn't good.
