because they are too stupid to realize that the SEC CHAMP will be the ONLY representative in the college football playoff.

This isn't necessarily true, like, at all.

Scenario:
-Bama loses to LSU in a close game, 7 pts or less
-Bama wins out
-A&M beats LSU
-A&M wins out and remains a 1 loss team not in the SEC Championship game
-Ohio State beats Michigan

They could keep A&M, who's only loss would be to #1 Bama over a Michigan who's 1 loss was to a not good Penn State.

Or hell Washington could trip up or even Clemson.

Washington wins conference undefeated, THEY'RE IN. that extra game will easily trump atm's idol day.

If everything holds, absolutely. What happens if a Clemson or Michigan trips up? Or both?

This crazy shite happens EVERY year and that's why I love it.

If that 1 loss is to LSU they don't. If bama doesn't beat LSU this weekend, A&M sure the hell isn't. The only shot A&M has got is for Bama to lose to both us and Auburn and then they beat us. Thats it. Washington, Clemson, and Michigan shouldn't lose. They are pretty much locked in barring any crapshow at the end of the season.

for me.......a perfect situation would be for the top 6 to have at least one loss. I've been waiting for that chaos for two years now. maybe this year will be the year. hell............if 3-8 have one loss it will be glorious to watch this stupid committee decide the fate of the playoffs.

I mean you are right. Pray that 1 of the 3 teams locked in lose in their conference championship. Thats the only way A&M gets in other than Bama losing to LSU and Auburn.

What a ridiculous assumption. Have you ever watched College Football in November?

WA still plays rival WaSt. who is hot right now, as well as USC, and presumably Colorado in the Pac-12 championship. They could easily drop any one of those games.

Michigan still plays Ohio State, and either Nebraska or Wiscy in the Big10 championship.

Clemson has the easiest schedule remaining, facing likely North Carolina in the championship.

theoretically, yes you can make it without a conference title, but realistically it is not going to happen.

if the top 6 all have 1 loss, they will pick the 4 best conference champions.

Serious answer: Because aggy would rather have a stronger Bama than LSU. Bama is far enough away that they don't make as great an impact on our recruiting as LSU. We want to build teams full of the best players from Texas and Louisiana. That becomes easier when LSU-Texas-Oklahoma suffer in any way

Because rooting for LSU to lose when they play A&M hasn't worked since 1995

Sure, it's an opinion. But I think you'd be hard pressed to leave out a 1 loss P5 conference champion.

I agree. I think we would need Washington to drop a couple, or their one loss to come in the title game.

Not to mention Michigan and OSU could win the Big 10 with 1 loss. Clemson will likely be undefeated. Even if they slip and lose 1, they will still likely win the ACC. They've already beaten FSU and Louisville.

I will say that the Pac 10 is down, so a 1 loss Washington that wins the conference may get jumped, but I just don't see it. They beat the tar out of Stanford and Oregon.
