I want to say I have no hate for A. Good luck to him. Hope he does well in the league and consider him a really good college football QB. But can anyone explain to me why A is better than B? Evidently, the SEC coaches think that's the case.

A: 252/399 63.2 pct, 3,125 yards, 7.8 YPA, 25 tds, 8 ints, 145.62 Passer rating for 6th in the conference.

B: 186/272, 68.4 pct. 2537 yards, 9.3 YPA, 27 tds, 5 ints, 175.81 passer rating for 2nd in the conference.

Just in case some think it's due to conference games only, A is 11th passer efficiency in SEC games only, B holds at no. 2.

Without knowing competition, system played in, surrounding talent, and other tangibles. All those stats are kind of worthless....

Somehow, better talent didn't disqualify the first team QB.

The competition was virtually the same.

B could have had a better OL, WRs, and playcalling and the SEC coaches know that.

I think the reason is if we were to line them both up next to each other and say, "throw the ball as far as you possibly can," 'A' would have a 20-30 yard advantage.

'A' is also 6'4 and semi-mobile. Makes NFL scouts drool.

It looks like A runs his offense on a weaker team while B is a game manager on a very talented team.

Are you claiming B is more talented and will be drafted higher then A ?

Player A's only winning play is the go route.

He doesn't seem good enough at anything else to be an effective QB.

I'm fine with him proving me wrong. But I don't see many wins in his future without just taking the top off the defense.

He isn't accurate enough to string plays to drive the ball. I don't think he processes the game well enough to develop that skill with better coaching.

Let me answer this with buzz words:

"A" has:
Intangibles
Bigger upside
Frame not completely filled out
Still raw
The "It" factor
Pocket presence

Did A have lesser talent around him than Vandy's QB?
