Yeldon is now the 3rd best RB on his own team, so no, I don't think he's top 3 nationally.

That's bold, but perhaps true.

I just do not see the UGA optimism. Marshall has to prove he can carry the load coming off an ACL (if Gurley were to go down, hypothetical) and I don't care how many stars someone has, they have to do it on the field. Unproven.

You mean like.....Henry? And yet, you guys are optimistic? You're right. I don't get it.

No. I think we all admit he is an excellent back. To deny that is to deny the obvious. It's when Bama fans say he is better than Gurley, and stuff like that.

I would say they are about equal.

Yeldon is staged to have his best year and probably one of the best years a bama tailback has ever had.

The only reason I would say they are equal is because of Gurley's style of running he is a little more injury prone.

Henry got it done in a big game. Drake has too,as has ,of course,Yeldon. 5 stars that have sat the bench or are reporting out of high school? No comparison.

So if Bama had Gurley behind Bama's line, Gurleys stats would go north or south?

The would probably remain about the same.

We've been over this. Todd Gurley's numbers are superior even though he has played less games with a worse offensive line... TJ Yeldon is good and doesn't deserve the hate he gets, BTW.

Lol. If you can see on the field difference, then go ahead and close this thread.

Yeldon has the same YPC and 6 less carries than Gurley and if you extrapolate Yeldon's carries out, their stats are virtually identical ...but if that's how you define "superior"

Receiving stats matter. If you've already conceded the point, then why belabor it?

Well and not fumbling and being a better receiver. But keep telling yourself Yeldon is his equal.

So this argument that cannot be won is still going on. I get it. Don't you?

I don't understand why you are so fricking hell-bent on comparing TJ Yeldon to Todd Gurley. Nearly 99% of the posters on this board think Todd Gurley is better, and they are right. You always overlook Alabama having a superior line, Todd Gurley missing games and playing games injured, and the fact that Todd Gurley's numbers are superior even though all of the above is true.

You might want to go back and read a past thread you made: LINK

Again, TJ Yeldon is pretty damn good, I loved him coming out of high school, and I definitely don't think he deserves this "hate" he receives. However, when push comes to shove, Todd Gurley is better than TJ Yeldon. Period.
