Chubb was getting hit in the backfield just about every play.

Yea, Fournette has definitely shown he can't break through tackles. No highlights of that.

lay. We came out in the second half and he reeled off carries of 10,11,14 and 49 on one drive.

The line wasn't really inspired in the first half and played like shite. Chubb could have easily got 200 plus yards but they pulled him after this drive.

So much excuse making. I thought stats were all that mattered.

How retarded are you, let me slow it down a little in case you are one of those posters who had 1st lunch in HS.
1.)Chubb has similar statistics but slightly less......while playing 1 more game......and while playing absolutely no competition.
2.)Auburn and MS state aren't great defenses but both teams were ranked at the time and there is no way you can compare them to (Southern University, Louisiana Monroe, Vandy, and SC).

Sounds familiar...

ETA: Fournette dealt with shitty line play too last Saturday.

LF is still better, will get more attention, will attain better stats this year, and will be drafted higher.

We thought the same thing about Gurley and then he got injured.

Basically, if both stay healthy and average over 8 yards per carry all year the diffrence will be how much one is used compared to the other. Right now, we are giving Chubb 8 less carries on a per game basis.

and he also still went top 10 in the draft, right, despite tearing his ACL in the second half of the season?

and right now, Fournette is the best player in college football on the offensive side of the ball. That's no knock against Chubb, as he is a really great player. Fournette is just flat out better. Anyone with eyes and no personal bias can easily see that. There's a reason everyone in the national media is gushing over Fournette and not Chubb.

Vandys defense is rated higher than Auburn, MS State and Syracuse and they have played both Georgia and Ole Miss. But lets not facts skew the narrative.

Let it go bruh, let it go. LF is the man, in the SEC and on a national stage. Your boy did his thing last year, but the cream has flowed to the top. Just accept, embrace LF7 and move on. Your other Dawg brothers have giving up this fight.

I said it a bit earlier in the thread. A lot of that has to do with how good chubb was last year and how the media gushed over him then. There's always a new toy. Right now it's LF, next year it may be some other guy

Fournette had more hype as a recruit.

oddly enough this may actually have some play in it

he was far and away the #1 recruit on all the services so playing into that isn't too far fetched; however, the main reason is the number are gaudy this season and he's made unbelievable highlight reel plays every single game

ok so vandy has a decent defense. what about south carolina, southern (an fcs school) and monroe? you know you've played three other teams right? and let's keep in mind fournette didn't have an FCS game to pad his stats or YPC

I agree. Chubb should declare for the NFL, he might get hurt. He's much better. The New York media should provide Chubb unsolicited advice on what he should do. Leonard F. is vastly overrated!

eh, if fournette goes on to win the heisman, he'll get even more hype than he has so far this year. however, like tebow and manziel before him, everyone will expect more out of him next year even if his final numbers are absurd this year.

Only a blind man would say that.

LF gets the attention not just because of his numbers bit how he does it. You may not think how he runs and hits is rare but it truly is. He's a once a generation type/style rb

Chubb is a very very good running back.

To me, this is what separates the two and why I think LF is better.

UGA actually has other weapons that they use and teams have to respect the pass.

LF is getting his when every player on the opposing D knows he is getting the ball and they know he is the only weapon LSU has (yes LSU has weapons in the passing game but they are hilariously underutilized).

Also, LF getting more carries and still putting up over 8 YPC is more impressive than you give him credit for. One would think, if He wasn't that good, more carries would actually lower his average.

All that said, though. Chubb has his chance Saturday. Put up 20+ carries at 8.5 yards a pop vs Bama, he'll get all the pub he can handle.
