It's just jealously. Alabama is on the verge of a dynasty with Nick Saban at the helm. Rival fans are upset and can't take it.

It will be hard to keep this short, Bama fans are just godawful jerks. I worked in Alabama for decades, met many good people, most were Bama fans. This never stood in the way of our working together or our freindly rivalry, but when Bama wins anything, the fan base goes into middleschool hormone jumping fits. It seems that the fans wait for this and a great revealing of the pomposity and pettiness the fans unleash on the oppositions and everyone in general is spilled out. AND it just doesn't end, it is similar to having a spouse who does not know when the argument has ended, whether they won or not, still arguin. That is why I would rather see Bama lose and the fans feel low that see them win.

It's always been obvious to me why other fanbases hate us. The simple answer is because we expect to win. But it's really not that simple.
It's because no matter how bad our team is, we still expect to win. When we're down by 20 in the 4th quarter we still expect to win. And when we do pull out an upset that no one but us thought was possible, when we've pulled ahead on a last second score or forced an unbelievable turnover at just the right moment, we don't wipe the sweat off our faces and say "Damn that was close," instead we say "I never doubted it for a second."
Every fanbase has their idiots who poison trees, or burn coaches in effigy, or throw balloons filled with piss, or prank call the opposing quarterbacks. We don't have a monopoly on jackasses, but what you guys really hate is that no matter what happens you can never erase the absolute belief in our hearts that Alabama will win every game we play.

I don't hate Bama. When we beat them 2 years ago I was thrilled because they are an elite level CFB team and it's nice to know the OBC has gotten us to a level where we, as fans, don't go into games knowing it will be a bloodbath (aka the 90s-2000). When we beat Bama under Shula, it was nice because we hadn't had any success against them, but I didn't really think it was the end all be all because Bama wasn't really an elite level team at that time.
Of course, some of the hanger on fans who didn't go to school there are crazy, but I don't think there are many schools in the SEC who don't have those.

Also LSU is in the top 12 in number of NCAA football victories, and #8 in bowl games, and has more stadium, fan, band, and tailgating mystique tradition than Alabama. BD does not compare to Death Valley. TGBFTL outclasses your band. LSU tailgating is the best on the planet.
Alabama is not that far ahead of us. They are only like #7 or #8 in number of victories! We are # TWELVE. Not FIFTY...TWELFTH....

Oklahoma State played more ranked teams than Alashama, WON their conference championship, and beat the everloving tar out of the former #1 Oklahoma Sooners to go 12-1.
They should have been in the game, not Alashama.

In the end it looks like they got it right. What they got wrong was LSU being number 1. 1/9 made it crystal clear who the better team was. Oh... but it's not fair

LSU won game 1. Alabama won game 2. It just so happens game 1 was for the conference title, and game 2 was for the national title. It sucks, but that's life.
No one knows what would have happened if a game 3 was played, but it's over and it's time for next season.

I thought it was the other way around, that even if everybody had voted okie st 3rd they still wouldn't have jumped Bama.

Arrogant and entitled fan base, 90 percent of whom did not go to college. The fact that your fan base actually thinks you have won 14 NCs is enough to hate you. Really, all around your fan base just sucks.
