They saw us on top for so long. Watched us beat their teams routinely. We had a down period and they all rejoiced.
Now that it's obvious we're on our way back to our rightful place in the SEC hierarchy, they see their rejoicing will soon be over.

Like I said before, with a few edits
There are a LOT of people on this board (and the number seems to be ever-growing) that get sandy vaginas when UT or our return to power are mentioned. People aren't comfortable with the fact that we're actually a good team. They liked it much better in our Dooley days, and made the mistake of allowing themselves to get accustomed to seeing a bad UT football team. It's upsetting for a lot of their tender feelings that things aren't that way anymore. Throwing around blind hatred and misinformed statements and agendas makes them feel better because it allows them to avoid confronting the truth.

Alabama is a rival, so it makes sense. UGA and UF are direct divisional competition.
Ole Miss is bitter about Peyton Manning, I think. No one is really 100% sure why they dislike TN.

I can tell you why. because a large number of their fanbase is from Memphis and a good number from Nashville as well. They had to endure Tennessee winning at an elite level for most of their lives and be surrounded by it on a daily basis. Now that Tennessee has experienced a period of suck, they want that period of suck to last forever.

Very few people actually hate TN. People are just sick of hearing they are back. It's been amazing how bad the east has been and they still can't compete in it. They remember how arrogant they were in the 90's even though they went 2-8 against Florida and they don't wanna see how obnoxious they can get if they ever became dominant.
