Why do Missouri fans need so much validation?

They've won the SEC East twice on down years, got to the championship game and got beaten. They had to rely on Florida beating Georgia so they could "sneak" into Atlanta last year because Georgia beat the frick out of them to the tune of 34 - 0.
This year, they wonder why no one gives them any respect.
Maybe a 7 point win over Arkansas State?
Maybe beating Connecticut by 3 at home?
A loss to Kentucky by 8?
How can you demand respect this year when you've literally done nothing to earn it? Good luck on Saturday, but once you guys have a horrible year maybe you'll stop being so unbelievably delusional.

Maybe you are over reacting a few anonymous posters on this site.
Far more threads regarding the game between FL & Mizzou have been started by gator fans. Seems like your fan base also has some outliers.

We've been pretty reserved to celebrating too early. Our own head coach hasn't said we're back, and most of the fans here say we're not.
Just think beating a Missouri team who lost to Kentucky (after we beat Kentucky) is at the very least possible.

Can we just admit that Mizzou was a piss ant in the Big 12 and down graded in competition? The West is the only thing that matters in the SEC. Every team in the east sucks, just ask their fan bases, and that's the only reason we aren't their whipping boys. You just wait my fellow Mizzou fans. The day of reckoning is near. The South will rise again!!!

Now that's not true, it's rare to see a team win 34 - 0 against the SEC East champion. Thankfully we beat Georgia so you could sneak in and get blownout again, this time by Alabama.
