Normally I’m not an elitist but it’s very competitive getting into Mays Business School and the engineering school at A&M.
There are other good programs at A&M , but isn’t the goal of a college degree to get a job?
In Texas at least having an A&M degree opens up so many opportunities and networking by merely having a an Aggie ring on your finger.
Source: 5 year Accounting Major. Masters in Finance. Got a big 4 internship. To big 4 job. Now a revenue manager for another company/ SECrant troll.

t.u. was never meant to become as big as it already is. It was supposed to be a "university of the first class" which would mean that 40 acres would have been PLENTY. But, they let it grow like a weed and now they are out of space and nowhere to go.
Y'all are really doubling down on this size thing
Enrollment size was a swing & a miss, so now we're talking about acreage...Never change, I've missed you retards.

Do they teach reading comprehension at t.u.?

Not really a favorite term of mine, my apologies
Students/former students and fans that are not engaged in the future planning and knowledgeable about growth facts and data is much more appropriate

Sarge, let's get serious...you don't deal with anyone of importance.

“Normally I’m not an elitist but it’s very competitive getting into Mays Business School and the engineering school at A&M.”
I can’t imagine how small town provincial one must be to excuse their elitism before discussing Texas Agriculture & Mechanics. I’d understand that statement to preface a Harvard or Yale, maybe a Georgetown or Vanderbilt, perhaps even a UVA or UNC degree…but a public agricultural college in Texas? Trust me, NO ONE thinks you’re elite, nor do you have to excuse your delusional misperception outside of Hillbilly Station, TX.
Also, another reminder than it’s more difficult to be rejected than accepted from Agricultural & Mechanics (70% acceptance rate).
The delusion on this board is astounding. You work in accounting, that’s not an accomplishment. That’s a tragic end to any hopes and dreams you, I presume, at one point held. “Normally I’m not an elitist…” You’re worse, you’re a wannabe elitist.

I get this. It’s also something that happens with every major school. It’s a compliment to have t-shirt fans. It means your program has band wagon worth hopping on. There’s plenty of aggy t-shirt fans around Texas.

Bottom line the top 10% of Texas kids that want in get in to A&M. tu lowered there’s to 6%.
My kids in HS now (10 to 25% at a top HS in Austin) and likely won’t get into A&M so will be forced to consider God help me LSU and Arky.
A&M is big because Texas is and shite tons of Texans want to go here

But it’s not competitive.
70% acceptance rate. So they’re must be students well below the “top 10%” being accepted (also not sure that’s an impressive metric at TX public high schools).

Only 0.24% of the Texas population is enrolled about same population % as Univ. Of Florida.
America needs lots of STEM graduates.

When my son was 3 he loved telling us that he was a big boy.

One fascinating thing about A&M is that before they enrolled women they had a student enrollment of 8K. Within 10 years of enrolling chicks A&M's enrollment had tripled. And it hasn't slowed down since.

Because you’re son ridiculously insecure and ashamed of your dumpster fire program you continually start these dick measuring contests only to find out you come up short every time. ????
