Why did Mike Leach have so many problems in the Washington "eggbowl"

Just looking at his record didn't realize how bad he was against Washington. Won his first game by 3 points in overtime and then got Womped 7 straight years. Never scored more than 17 points in any of those games. Every coach that plays Leach will be studying those games.

Mike has never been curb stomped by 28 points in a national championship game. Not all SEC coaches can say that!

U Dub is in Seattle. Washington State is in a frozen desert plane next door to Idaho. Although some of those games weren’t very close the way I remember it.

2017: @#15 UW 41, #14 Wazzu 14 - surprising that is was so lopsided
2018: #16 UW 28, @#7 Wazzu 15 - weather was terrible. Totally negated Cougs offense.

You could argue that Washington was a better team almost every year but 2.
