I don't know. For us, 08 was a reward for the post-Eli years before. We did get a little superiority complex over Miss.St which most likely led to our Egg Bowl loss the next year.
But Miss.St has been outright obnoxious lately. That arrogant arse billboard, Mullen claiming Miss.St is the superior university; the "people's university." Come on man.

Not comparing, just saying OM fans have no room to talk because I remember back in 08 how some OM fans acted on message boards after a little success.. it was the same.

Haven't read the thread. Why is predicting a 8-9 regular season, a win against a shitty Auburn squad, and grinding for our state not handling success? We're not grinding so hard because we beat memphis but everyone keeps reminding us that we only beat memphis. We know that. We set a school record and we didn't even look great or try to look great. We just practiced out there. What are we doing that's so conceeded? I don't see it. Don't count coon arse or klong and answer my question.

Exactly, I haven't seen anyone making any kind of outlandish predictions, just that we should beat Auburn and give LSU a good game.
There have been a couple of threads linking Chris Relf or Ballard being in the running for awards, but that isn't state fans putting them there we just linked the article.

I've never seen that being said on here, but I talk football with him every few weeks or so. It doesn't get too in-depth and he doesn't give secrets away. Just a lil football talk.
