Darren Mcfadden says hi. Peyton Hillis does for central Arkansas too.

Yes, they are from central Arkansas. I don't think McFadden made a day of it at WMS very often growing up though. Peyton Hillis wasn't a 5 star coming out of HS.

Dyer? No Tenpenny? Probably no. Like I said, big-name talent before coming to Arkansas

I'm not losing sleep either way guys

I might go on Saturday and sit in the end zone or watch it on my 60 inch at home and smoke herb after each score

You have to look at it on a social level.

Getting exposure in LR > not getting exposure in LR

I don't even see how you're mad when the LSU game isn't even in LR this year.

Do you want all the games only available to people who have time or money to go to NWA? I really don't see the problem with having 2 minor games in LR to keep the exposure and state support at the same level.

Kids growing up in central and southern Arkansas that would make going to a razorback game a tradition aren't going to be able to make this a part of their lives.

Of course, this played a factor back in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's, but since RRS installed the lights and expanded the stadium, the NWA population has dramatically increased, mainly due to the influx of people moving in from out of state, this appears to no longer be a factor. It's a new day. Anyway, the U of A doesn't need to play anywhere else in the state. They can withstand any potential losses in recruiting. Just an opinion...

ETA: Those kids can still go to Arkansas State games when they start scheduling games there...so who cares?

I would be fine with 2 minor games in LR if they sold out which they don't. Hence the thread and my issue with LR fans.

Central Arkansas fans are SOOOO excited about this exposure, and their ability to show their kids a hog game, and the ability to expose local athletes to the Razorbacks...that they can't sell out 55k.

There are facts and there are opinions. There is not a single fricking FACT that says the program will experience a setback if we stop playing games in LR.

We'll all miss WMS some when its over with, but I'm ok for now not going. It will be like when they tear down the mall you went to when you were a little kid. You have memories of going to see Santa or getting cotton candy there, and so its nostalgic, but in reality, you hadn't gone there since it went ghetto in the late 1990s.

People are only mad because it isn't a sellout.

We had 71,000 in Fayetteville last weekend for Jacksonville State.

Yes. This.

If LR would sell out, we would shut up

Arkansas student enrollment 24,600

71,000 - 24,600 = 46,400

Take out students that are on campus and you wouldn't sell out WMS even if it was in Fayetteville. You'd be almost 10,000 short.

Hog fans, saw this and thought you'd like! I should expect to see a few when I'm in Fayetteville in a few weeks! RTR!

And the University only gave 2,000 student tickets out for the little rock game this weekend to give the rest of the state more seats and it STILL can't sell it out.

University only gives out 12K student tickets. But not all 12k show up. Probably somewhere between 10-11k students show up, except for Bama.

But continue subtracting the entire student body from the stadiums capacity.

Do you really want to start this shite again???

Okay.

Why were tickets still available for the Jacksonville State game at least late in the week as well? I don't know for sure if they ever all sold but as late as a couple of days before the game they were still available.

And why can't DWRRS get a damn game clock that works?

As far as I know, Frank Fletcher who bought tickets is not from NWA.

So take out the students, from a COLLEGE frickING FOOTBALL GAME, is your justification? That, somehow, in your eyes makes it okay that LR's attendance will suck compared to Fayetteville? Because Fayetteville has the students?

Well no fricking shite, genius. Yet another reason all games should be on campus.

The lowest attended game in Fayetteville over the last 2 or 3 years is STILL probably more than 10,000 people that couldn't see the game had it been in LR.
